Silver Knight's Skinning Tutorial

This is a tutorial to edit, already made custom models, with custom textures, the tutorial i posted before, is out of date, and shows how to edit half life 2 textures.

For this you will need:

-Half a Brain

-VtfEdit

-Paint.Net

-A Model To Retexture

Half a Brain

Anyone can do this tutorial, anyone can retexture, even if you have low creativity, if you cannot do this, then you have the mental age of a 5 year old, becuase trust me, my cousin has done this, and he's only five years old.

VtfEdit

This is a wonderful easy tool to convert a texture from a tga, to a vtf and vmt, and back, the vmt file is automaticly created, so it saves you alot of work, and avoids the coding part !

Paint.Net

Probably one of the best tools to use other than photoshop, hell id go as far as saying it's better than photoshop, it's so easy to use, although it doesn't have as many options as photoshop, it comes in handy.
