Hl2 or Ep1 for Mount and Blade: Warband anyone?

Most of you no doubt already have these two games but it's worth a try.

So Hl2 or Hl2 Ep1 (Both if you can convice me) for Warband anyone?

I noticed it was on sale for £5 so I thought I should take advantage of that, however I only got £3 in my paypal acount.
