So as of now the server is up and in vanilla (Boo!!) but do not fret! A modpack and some extra mods will be added so that we can roleplay away! (YAY!!) Until then however myself, James and some helpful others will be making a nice lil' starting area to get your noggins around the setting and stuff (which hasn't even been decided yet...) Right now the main settlement is basically a nomadic/refugee camp that is just getting started. If you want to hop on and play what is essentially survival then go ahead but the standard don't be a griefing dick applies. Still have to think of a name and lore stuff. It will probably be the standard medieval fantasy, so you can be a dwarf and what not. I will try and keep you all updated in this little unofficial status thingy.

'Ello chaps and chapettes!! Well we had a lil' incident with grief cos we have not put any mods or nuffin on the server... so that was bad. Don't worry though cos we are doing all sorts of wonderful stuff! By we I mean Dark is doing all the work and I take the credit. So Dark is getting all sorts of fantastic mods and plugins to help with all our roleplay, you can see what stuff he is doing on the thread that is about it all, anyway round of applause for Dark!

LORE STUFF AND THINGS
So the plan so far is that there will be two initial settlements. There will be a military camp and a small town. The military will be a battalion camp on a mission from a high council/emperor, including a few special civilian groups attached which missions to do. This military force will not be the native force in the area but a visiting force in a vassal states lands. The vassal state will be relatively subjugated and not on the best of terms with the military. Though I must say it should be in everyone's interest to co-operate...

As a lil' ole incentive for some y'all, feel free to come up with lore stuff for the native land and the military. So names of the lands, rulers and whatnot. The military will be using germanic sounding names for its military, indian sounding names for its politicians and nobles, and chinese sounding names for its commoners and merchants. The natives are whoever comes up with the best stuff. If you contribute well and help a lot you will be given a position in the lore/events team.

Quick update, the modpack (Thanks Dark!) is ready and we're just gathering permissions etc. so that it can be added to the Technic Launcher.

The modpack should be done fairly soon, I'm just trying to work out how to create a modpack with Curse instead of the Technic Launcher (Otherwise Archimedes' Ships would have to be removed).
