Update Info

This is for everyone too lazy to check out Notch's blog!
Tons of errors with this version, if you have the option, you really shouldn't download it yet.
Next rev. should have it repaired.

Using the in-browser client has proven more successful than not.

Server Updated:   

• Delay/repeater blocks
• Beds
• Added three new half-size blocks (Wooden Plank, Cobblestone, Sandstone)
• Slimes have a higher spawn rate
• Wood and logs don't burn forever anymore.
• Ability to toggle between classic lighting and "smooth" lighting
• Added whitelisting to the server.

• To use, enter “whitelist <cmd>” where cmd is “on”, “off”, “add <player>”, “remove <player>”, “list” or “reload”

• F1 & F3 now toggle
• Redstone dust will get darker the farther away it is from a source of power.
• F8 toggles mouse smoothing
• Regions now use the McRegion format, with built-in auto conversion. Effects Biomes.
• In 3rd person mode, character can be visibly seen to bob side to side when you walk.
• Sandstone is now found at the bottom of naturally generated sand.
• Mine time for Sandstone decreased.
• When breaking double slabs (one slab placed on another) it will drop two slabs instead of one.
• All pressure plates now require two of it's materials, instead of 3.
• The new stone slabs are now created by using 3 of the materials
• !!! Game crashes upon entering the Nether. !!!

HURR WELL YOU SEE WHEN A MOMMY MINECRAFT DECIDES TO REGIONS

That's one of the reasons I didn't include it; it's more technical than the other shit.

Simply enough, McRegions changes how data is generated when a new world is created and how that data is saved and in what format.

It's meant to only be a data-storage thing, but it affects the generation, too, since it changes the data.
It shouldn't be that major.

If you're talking about a map you already had generated, you can go stroke your epeen.
