+Made posts that you have read turn a gray text until a new post, the background also goes to the lighter transparent style. I would change the link color however i am unable to find the extract in the stylesheet to do so. Maybe i will code it myself later maybe.
+Added option to minimise the shoutbox.
Add more fun/sensible moderators. I am not trying to troll, but it just seems some of the moderators do not have a sense of humor when it comes to certain things. Some moderators can't take a joke and just give someone a warning if that person was joking. There are rules for the GVC, but not many. No personal attacks, no racism, no porn, and no spamming autoplay (this rule isn't even enforced in some threads) and no all caps in your title. Other than that it's pretty much a free for all. People keep getting in trouble I've noticed for stuff even I would have ignored and laughed along to.

Threads should not be all capitals. Trolling, spam* and other bullshit is allowed here,
although any personal direct conflictations is punishable, along with Porn/18+ images or moderate racism.

It's just a big mess. The GVC is impossible to moderate. If you can deal with the stupidity it causes (or you don't care) and feel that the amusement it gives outweighs its consequences, then keep it. If not, get rid of it. I can't say whether it does more harm than good, but it seems to be that place people go when they don't give a shit about HGN at all anymore.

For example, let GVC completly without rules, or any overseeing. Just a few rules, like 'No screamers, if you want to post +18 thread, write (NSFW) Infront of the Thread name.' That would work I think.
And if it is really that bad and a stain on the community, you could perhaps make it like OIFY, and have a special URL for it only.
Or just hide it like that abortion you had as a teenager.

No, because then that opens up all kinds of shit with people and groups attacking each other. It'll just start to escalate and next thing you know HGN is ripped apart and dead because everyone hates everyone. Like, worse than before.
I think there should just be a rule for the administration if anything. Perhaps a PSA about what is a joke, and what isn't a joke.

To be honest I think it's silly that all racism no matter how mild is banned in the GVC. It's one thing if you're going around explicitly dehumanizing a race/religion out of hate, but it's a completely different story if you're fucking kidding around. As much as people enjoy porn, I highly think this is a terrible idea. If they want porn, they can go to the other millions of websites/forums that have porn.
Also, GVC should just have an Anonymous post system.

Nice work. Only question i'd like to ask is whatever happen to that one Server based game? I don't remember the name but it was mainly wall of text, pictures, and map. I thought it was interesting, but could've used an upgrade.

You mean the Crussaria RPG game we had on the forums. I got rid of it so the forums were faster and i didn't feel like updating it at that point in time. Maybe ill revive it in the future.

I'm not sure if the forums script supports this, but Character sheets and a GM position for threads. Calfori's script supports that, and it allows you to have character sheets and dice you can roll to test an RP situation.
EDIT: Can you make the mapping section bigger? It doesn't seem like anyone goes there. I posted a request for some pictures of Suez Canal, and nobody posted. I also think the forum should support more creativity and productivity.

Not sure exactly what your getting at with the first statement but to the second one i have merged it with hgn development. Although alas it further hides the mapping section.

Yeah I agree. These last few days pretty much ruined it, doesn't have the same feel.
It started getting stained with shit threads at page 15 and then it became half good posts half bad posts at like 11 and then afterwards it just became all bad threads. Like not a single good one.
+Added new styles for the navigation buttons and the front board instead of full transparency.
+Added 2 backgrounds, one to the gvc and one to the anime section.
+Added new recent posts section at the bottom, needs abit more work in my opinion still and a marquee of images in our media centre.
-Removed some old boards that were not being used much.
-Removed topic titles on every post in a thread, it was pointless and ugly and saves one extra line of space!

-Disabled the WYSIWYG editor, it was pretty buggy and i would not be suprised if people just went and turned it off.

It sometimes takes you to the second to last page to a post by the same person as the latest one was and similar stooped things.
I have not been able to replicate these issues.
I have hidden some minor stuff to help off-set some lag we have been having. I am potentially going to find a new host for our webhosting as they are not being very helpful and these loading spikes we have been having are rather terrible.

Agreed i'll remove it.
+Fixed default style of spoiler tags, default text is now white instead of black.
=Updated [user] tags. They have have a good format and appear once clicked instead of hovering over them now. For rosters and such i would advise to start using them as it's a nice feature.

It does 3 columns when it's over 1900, it's not as good as 2, i might remove the 3 feature entirely.
You should give us the ability to select how many columns we can. I for one would love to get the 2010 forum layout back.
I removed 3 columns, so it's either 1 or 2 columns now.
