*Mike pants, the shock of the German behind him and the feeling of killing someone for the first time wearing him out for a moment. The banging on the door brings him back to his senses immediately. He spins back around and levels his thompson at the door, his hands shaking as he waits to see who's there.

Willard (Shouting): I think we got 'em!
Kenneth (Shouting): At least one of those bastards is dead, let's move and find 2nd Division before more of their friends show up and pin us down!
*Kenneth turns and jogs over to 1st Lieutenant Willard Jocks, and the other two members of the squad rise from their cover, followed immediately by Willard. They cautiously take a few steps towards their right, in the direction the rest of 2nd Division should be, still aiming their weapons up at the Cliffside for fear of more German soldiers showing up. After several steps and no sign of more soldiers, Willard motions for the others to follow, lowers his weapon, and begins jogging. The echoing of gunfire can still be heard in the distance...

*Mike yanks his body back around the corner from the hail of bullets and hits the floor. He crawls back into the house, cursing to himself as he goes. He approaches the body of the first German he killled and pulls a grenade from his webbing off. Pulling the pin he wedges the spoon against the floor and lays the body on top of it. He then backs out into the hallway and takes a knee behind the wall, waiting.
