If I have to rewrite my Enclave app any more times I will murder everyone who voted for option 1.

EDIT: And also....

Between FO1 and FO2 offers a better overall story. In the time period Plunger is planning now, the Enclave has not yet revealed itself to still exist, they are right about to make first contact with Wastelanders. Doesn't that potential for passive sound a lot more fun than FO2 or FO3's "Holy shit the Enclave is an evil government, we must resist!!!!!" Just on the server in the alpha doing some just for fun RP with a few other players we had a great time RPing wondering if there was a government still left or if we were it. I feel that if we make it take place in FO2-FO3 some of that atmosphere is lost since by then everyone knows the Enclave is evil which could very likely turn the Enclave into the next Monolith: everyone STKing everyone and not much passive.

EDIT 2: And also, also

If we do it during FO2-FO3 idiots will be like "I r t3h l0ne wanderer!!11!!11" and we'll have to deal with that. A time period no game explored would cut down a bit on people saying they were those kinds of characters.

Between them. **Fallout 1 and Fallout 2**
Because the vault dweller got excelled from the vault at the end of Fallout 1.
Considering that the oil rig got destroyed by the chosen one/the vault dweller in Fallout 2. (The end of it)

I agree with Paintcheck, if we have it between Fo1 and 2 then we can have passive Enclave at the start rather them being like the army in stalker and shooting most things that move :p

How come the people voting for between 2, and 3 aren't giving their opinion through posts?

I love fallout 1-2, the story is a good one. If it'll be between these two, NCR would be just created. After FO3 there would be bullshit like "Lol we got clear water" or "You drank clear water, u diez". At FO1-2 we would have FN FAL's, Desert Eagle's etc. (Yes there were weapons like that, see on fallout.wikia.com)

FO1 - FO2 Better story, Passive Enclave. You get the rest.

I vote for In between Fallout 1 and 2, But sad part is, half of the community hasn't played either of the two games, and I only remember a bit of the games, since I was about Five or Six years old playing these games XD

Yeah that's the one downside but the Fallout Wiki is uber good so anyone can figure it out with a little research.

Definitively. There's (almost?) every fact about the Fallout Saga.

Downside to Fallout 1/2 is:

Im developing this, and ive never played either game = Bad/lack of development internet/knowledge on my part.
Enclave/BoS will be rigged due to having abundent amount of recruits (fallout 2/3 would limit this to our standards for roleplay).

Quotebreslau: if i cant cheat i dont wanna play

But the upsides are that the Brotherhood of Steel don't give wastelanders all their technology, and Enclave doesn't have orders to kill everyone.

That, and most armor and weapons from Fallout 1, and 2 are actually from real life. Like G3.

Well, in Fallout 3 I also never saw that a BoS gave you some kind of technology. They were more like "Fuck off if you don't have good reason to be here."
And Enclave in FO3 would be the same like Monolith on SRP. Usually KoS. (No RDM of course.)

Plus with the BoS and Enclave both not being too friendly to outsiders it will cut down on having 91919 people clanking around in Power Armor with laser guns.

BoS changed there goals to help the wasterlanders, outcasts didn't like that so they left BoS and continued the old BoS ways (of finding tech) If anything fallout 1 - 2 stands to gain us little ground and less factions.

Quotebreslau: if i cant cheat i dont wanna play

That isn't true, Silver. A group of Brotherhood splintered off from the main group in California while in D.C., and others stayed with the old. Technically, the D.C. BoS are the Outcasts. The same thing happened in Fallout: BoS, without the Outcasts, and this was an awful game. If the Enclave haven't been revealed yet, this means that the Enclave actually don't need to shoot on sight, meaning plenty less RDM. Not only that, but not every Enclave or BoS troop had power armor, infact, most had combat if not in a selected group. The BoS isn't yet a militarized group, and at this point, they are actually at their downfall. In Ohio, only a few BoS troops would have T51-b's and most would have combat armor. This means less "ultimate" faction. The Enclave would have Advanced Power Armor, not Mark 2, which is still better than a T-51b, but it actually won't matter because the factions aren't at war. Enclave mechanics may even have combat armor in lower ranks, Navarro for example. The BoS has no idea the Enclave even exists yet. This leaves more room for small factions who eventually become big through taking power, which is the true Fallout way. If you wanted to, though, you could create your own major factions. It's in Ohio, isn't it? This means you have total freedom over what factions are made, and what shouldn't be made. As long as you don't mess with the already major factions, you can make whichever custom major faction you wish in this new territory, unexplored by the actual Fallouts. So, please, understand that FO1-FO2 actually is better in nearly every way, both with weapons used and factions.

The Enclave role in the FO1-FO2 timeline will be infinitely more fun to interact with than in the FO3 timeline. If we do FO3 the Enclave are going to be this STK faction that isn't any fun to play with. The earlier time period is better for passive and, since the Enclave hasn't revealed itself yet, the wastelanders and others get to be like "WTF TECHNOLOGY" which I think would be more fun than "Oh shit the evil government is coming to kill us. Yawn"

What Paint said is exactly right expedition-wise. Ohio would technically be an expedition, so, it would be a no-kill recon mission, even if long termed. This will not only let Enclave be passive, but let Enclave interact with wastelanders, if they so choose.

All i wanna know is will there be super mutants present and at what stage will they be, loosley organised or led by a smart mutant?
Suspiciously cheesy man sighted on east pier at 9pm.

In Ohio, they most likely will be absent. There's no way in hell Super Mutants could get there. As for the tribal remark, I was planning on it.

If you mean smart mutant as The Master, then no.

He's already dead.
Blake.H: And im also working on whipping him into shape
Blake.H: He's nice
Blake.H: He doesn't moan
Blake.H: The sheer obedience is enough to fuel my erection anyway

Why would they not be present? Most of the mutants from california headed east so some may have ended up there. And by smart mutant I mean like a mutnat liutenant, in the lore there were several who left california with large groups of mutants.

Now that I think about, you're right. Even though it's highly unlikely due to the amount of them by the amount of land to cover, Super Mutants could be in Ohio. If they are, I would prefer they act like they do in Fallout 2 and be.....civil. I don't like how Fallout 3 makes them, even in Fallout 1 they acted as they did for a reason. They also seem to have gained intellegence since Fallout 1, to a point where they are more at the intellect level of an average wastelander. If anything, I'd think it would be nice to see Super Mutant tribes in Ohio. That would be a nice twist on things that also makes sense. Of course, there would be few unless they could find a way to harness the FEV and use it to create more, or else they would die out quickly in the area.
