Lately or at least for some time now ive been unhappy with the amount of discussion which has been going on about underlying issues in HGN's SRP and the key factor stated by our senior players is that the new players are just causing alot of grief and turning it into something it's not. So i want to set this right.

HGN's SRP will now be enforcing disposition punishments to those who cause edrama/griefing and ruin the roleplay on the server, i feel that this is the best way forward and those who don't start following the rules will be forcefully removed. Each player will be given 3 a clean slate and there will be a roster in the admin forum with every player's strike and reason listed. Some people have forgotten that this is "Serious Roleplay" and we intend to bring it back to standards that we approve of.

For those of you who are good, decent and mature players, you have nothing to worry about, this will not effect you, however to those who think SRP is a playground for 13 year old kids, your time is numbered at SRP, i will note however, that this only applies to our Roleplay Servers and not our other servers.

IC Rules

All IC items require authorisation from a superviser and must not go against cannon and must adhere to realism standards (i.e. having "steel kevlar" armor is does not exist yet, or having a fresh loaf of bread is near to impossible due to the location and hostility of the zone).

Duping/Glitching

Anyone who finds a exploit or bug should report it, if you do not do so, you could face a ban, we have patched the script up alot and fixed these holes but we will not allow people to get away with duping items/weapons which ruing the economy and the game, so if you find something and don't report it, YOU will be found out.

Fear Factor Roleplay

Some players are forgetting the hostility and fear factor that is in the zone and take bloodsuckers, mutants, darkness and other factors forgranted. Players need to start taking into account that they are not imortal and that they have a very high chance of dying in the zone, players should start roleplaying fear factors more, after all, your not Strelok, your a normal human. PK's are going to be enforced to those who don't take this into account, this goes for "lol-stalkers/bandits" and Mutant love-hunters. A bloodsucker is very powerful, humans have no chance against it in melee.

Faction "Jumping"

This has been a problem which has always caused problems and issues in SRP which needs to be knocked on the head, faction leaders will be stamping down hard on who they recruit. All "leavers" not auth'd by the faction leader(s) will be pk'd.

Players need to consider more in-depth about who they are joining and why, you should only join a faction if you really care about the faction and not on the basis to "get-guns". Several factions invite players to do small missions for them as stalkers and thats the best way to find out if that faction is for you.



Other things going on with Fallout and Stalker

As stated in my last thread, im currently testing nexus and will most likely be using it for our Fallout RP, and with the feedback i get from that, there's a possibility SRP will switch over to it afterwards. I will be reviewing several of our veteran players for "Operator" status on SRP soon, which will basically mean basic admining of the server to those who are mature and are "Veterans" of SRP.

Also somethings to note:

-Locke is back as a Global Moderator for HGN, if you have any forum issues contact him.
-Jackel is now back as a SA.
-Dug is now on trial as a admin for stalker.
-Some promotions in the admin team (Plunger is now a Stalker SV, Bielenki a BA, Celtic a SA)

Steel kevlar dose exist, It uses a layer of steel mesh instead of the normal steel chest and back plates. its simply more felxible

Kevlar BODY armour with Steel mesh dosent exist, but it does in gardening/Building gloves.
I mean sure, its DIY, but it aint gonna stop much.

However!
Most people accompany a Kevlar Vest with Ceramic plates, and what do most modern Ceramic plates have in them now? Alot of plates now have steel inside them.

This all looks good to me, I wanted to come back to Stalker RP only to find out it was down. Read a few threads and saw some issues occurred. This to me looks how it was when I was here about a year ago and am glad I'm returning to this.
