Clarification

[Col. StaR]

Unfortunately I never got to make any proper introductions or clarifications because I was immediately sidetracked.

First off, let me introduce myself. I am Col. StaR (that's Colonel StaR), and am the leader and original co-founder of DesertiaRP. Stingwraith, myself, and other friends started Desertia almost 5 years ago, and since then, I've led the independent community, even after Stingwraith left to embark on his own endeavors.

I came to HGN at another chance to create a great RP experience. I couldn't have done anything without the network, and I'm glad to be here now.

Before anything else is stated, let me clarify some obvious confusion of this ambiguous category.

1. Stingwraith
As I stated before, I continued Desertia after he left to fulfill his own project. He left me and a few others in charge of the community, and left us the reigns to it.
I want to make it clear that we are in no way stealing Desertia, but rather continuing it. If you have your doubts, ask any of the previous admins or Stingwraith himself.

2. AnimeRP?
No, it's not Anime. God No. I've seen how Anime RPs, and I was glad when it was over. I have no intention of doing anything of that sort. My Japanese is rusty anyways.

3. ZStan: We've changed.
I remember those times too, and it was pretty bad. I can't say that it was the greatest point in our history, but the majority of the leadership was in on it, so it was almost impossible to get rid of all the powergaming/anime-stricken "RP" that they were conducting. I was relieved when we solved that problem, and I can assure you that that will never happen again so long as I am watching.

I remember that you never came around to see us afterward because you followed Stingwraith into Olden (from what he recalls). I wouldn't trust your very limited experience with what the actual RP had/will comprise of.

For everyone else who has yet to experience Desertia's true RP offering, we hope to open the server for private Betas and an official public release sometime soon.

This has absolutely nothing to do with HL2RP, (Not even the conclusions you drew)  You obviously haven't read the Mega-thread so here, just for you, the tl;dr version: Close Endeavors are a PMC group hired by XEM (Businessmen in charge of Desertia's mining and other things) Who are used as a police force to protect the Miners and other Commoners. The Entanglment are Psychopathic terrorists attempting to dismantle the Desertian infrastructure and economy. Killing whoever gets in their way (Think of them close to the Monolith)

combine vs monolith rebels

change your factions up make it less generic Rebels vs whatever. we all know the rebel group will be dicksuckers only and XEM will be filled with minges. Reminds me of Half life 2 rp already.

I'm sorry to hear that, but unfortunately most RP has an antagonist group that can be defined as "Rebels"
From HL2, to STALKER, DarkRP, HaloRP, and even Desertia.
A group like that is as common as a chatbox.

And ZStan, hello again to you too.
I will guarentee on my life that there will be no fur-faggotry in Desertia.
And we will be starting from scratch (again). Await a bit for the content and server.
