It's not an assault rifle. VSS stands for literally "Special Purpose Rifle" in Russian iirc. It's sort of like the SVD or a designated marksman's rifle. Not really meant to be 1000 + yard 1moa but rather to provide slightly more range to a fire team or allow covert support when needed. It's designed to be used in urban combat for close range, accurate and quiet fire.
