But yeah....
First post.  Mhm.  Great, amirite? Totally cool now.... cool kid..
Anyway, thought this is an interesting one, and I wanted to know if it's even SLIGHTLY possible to possibly play the CoP game coming out soon, I wouldn't even care if i had to run it on a low, shitty resolution and shitty graphics.  I just want to know if I need to work for some money. (Btw: short on money at the moment and it would be nice to use this computer for another year or two :/)
(Home built, don't laugh at specs too much... it's 4 years old)
OS: Windows XP Media Center 2005
Processor: AMD 64 Athlon 3800+, Clocked speed of 2.39 Ghz
RAM: 3 GB DDR SDram
Graphics: ATI Radeon X1300 512 MB with direct x 9.0 and shader model 3.0
Hardrive: 200 GB initial, currently 70 GB

It'd be nice too, because I haven't been keeping up to date with the best shit around to buy for computers, for a list of good modern computer parts that I can buy within my $1200 spending limit, and I do not need a new monitor so I'm fine.
I'd be really happy to get a response though >.< and thank you.

Processor's good, Processor speed is good, RAM is good, Hard-Drive space is good, I'm not too sure about ATI graphics cards though.
May I ask what your power supply voltage is?

Paintcheck: Wrong window

Sorry forgot the voltage but I do believe its 480 watts

Looks nice.
"I know who I am! I'm a dude playing a dude diquised as another dude!"

The myth says that Radek has two arms, the myth also says that the devil has two arms. Coincidence? I think not.

Yeah it's good computer, I say you would be able to run graphics on high.
Just a note, you should consider replacing your PSU for a more powerful one in the upcoming future. I currently have a 750 watt powersupply, but that's only because of my cooling.

maybe he's got a dual core? liek me :3

Lol no it's not an X2 model so it's not a dual core, but when i bought the stuff for the computer, the AMD chip made me dig deep into my wallet for $400 >.< My graphics card, though, at the time was on  sale for $200 instead of $300 (THANK YOU FRY'S :D) and initially i had 2 512mb ram chips for $100 until 2 years ago i decided to buy 2 1GB DDR SDRAM chips for another $100.  But anywho, the PSU wasn't much you're correct, for it came with the case i bought my computer with as well as with fans for $75.  And my fucking motherboard cost me another $200, as well as the $150 Hard drive and $50 sound card.  And I initally had a shitty refurbished HP vs15 monitor for $100 which i QUICKLY threw out for a kick ass HD monitor a friend had (Can't tell model number, it's scratched off)
But yeah, initially the computer was within my $1200 spending limit (Not including the RAM i bought later on) and I tend to keep it that way, because this was good for that decent price.  I just don't wanna be looking at my bills and seeing "$2000" or some crazy shit like that xD.
The one thing i got upset about, though, is i mindlessly bought all the parts within a month and most of my shit sat around for a while and collected dust, so I'm gonna do this in one shopping trip.

PS: Thanks also for that, I was just afraid that it'll be Assassin's Creed for me all over again, everytime i made a kill my computer lagged for 5 seconds.

You're welcome man. Most of that stuff is probably on sale/less expensive too, since it's at least one year old.

Im pretty sure you can, GSC have been good to older machines keeping up with machines as low as Direct x 7.
