Prototype... Is it worth the money?

I was thinking about buying it, but I don't know if it's worth it. Help me out?

Try to rent it if you can, it's the kind of game that gets boring after a little while.

The story is subpar and the graphics could be better.

The combat is fun for a while, the disguises are only really used for getting away or into bases.

I'd rent it, not buy it.

Story mode is pretty short, I beat it in about 3 days of playing on/off for 1-2 hours.

Running around killing people isnt really fun, the military are just a temporary annoyance.

It's definitely worth it I'd say. You get such an epic feeling of power, but at the same time it's an utter rage fest on some of the later missions.

I also thought the story was ironic, hes supposed to be the good guy but hes killing everyone while saying its a conspiracy.

Basically, if you are a graphics whore, not for you. Can't handle a bad story, not for you. If you just want a fun game to beat the shit out of people... This is your game. It's a rent.

Graphics suck, you can only run it at 1024x768 I think. Either that or 1280x1060. Or whatever 19" monitor resolutions are.

Its a good game, can get boring easily but still fun none the less. Haven't had enough time to beat it yet so ya.. I agree with the person above me though, rent and then decide.
