People have done their characters (semi-)right before, just when it comes to battle they've been trained by elite, Russian shadow-ninja with bazookas and long penises.


Maybe we should have an entry app, or "skill" app, where we see what you know about RP/style and we can bash them for being stupid.

Your first point is close to my idea for a character, basically I'm thinking of making a character who's a guy who wants to create a newspaper which will spread what is going on in the land to all it's people, he wants to make a media empire which will spread his right wing opinion (borderline propaganda) while being a massive dickhead in the process making him hated by all but his work read by all (just realised I'm making Rupert Murdoch). This'll be VERY slanted to create controversy and spread his capitalist agenda so if someone else is going to create a newspaper or chronicles of what happens they should probably do it fairly or left wing.

Political ideologies still existed back then even if they weren't in their current form, what would be considered right wing opinions would have still existed back then and left wing opinions would have still existed back then. Of course I'll have to keep focus down to every single word so that I wouldn't introduce concepts which would have not existed in that rough time frame. By the way, a question for Ragolution, will it be in a period where the printing press (in a very basic form of course) exist? This'll be the deciding factor on whether or not my character will be a journalist or author.

I mean, I understand how some people know how to fight for sure because warriors or archers, but some people have no back story on what they know, just they wing it when it comes to weapons. (My "king" character didn't know how to fight, so I avoided fighting.)

There's a reason why swords were specialist's weapons in the middle ages. They take a lot of skill to use well and are expensive to make. Only knights really carried them. The average peasant used a polearm of some sort because those do not take much training to wield and are cheap to make.
