Heres a map ive been working on, but I have a question.
How do I make walls thinner than 64 units ( The size of one square)

Thats just the beginning. I have plans for a small village, and some other places, like a mili base.

Heres some new pics

you can change the grid size by clicking the smaller or bigger grid button, just besides the 3D grid button.
In the high toolbar

thanks, that worked nicely, as you can see on the newer ones :D

Made it in my free time
I made it freehand, I was bored go away TT__TT

Im not sure where I should post this, but I just got a really uber crazy idea for a map design, I think the layout should look something like this...

You can see that this design has:
- A small village for stalkers ( Left of Center)
- An armory village which can be used for a faction ( Bottom Right )
- A good place for Monolith ( Top Right )
- Abandoned buildings for freelancers or bandits ( Scattered Everywhere )

So tell me what you think about this design, I already started working on the layout.

EDIT: Alright, well it's almost 1 AM here, so I will post all I have. I have nothing much so far, just the road so far, the next I will work on is probably on the hills or that armory village.

Rusty - Returned to the Zone

Heres the newest part, on Silver's reccomendation.

According to one of my buddies who works with AI alot, adding too many nodes will just confuse the NPCs.

I think coating the map in ground nodes, with each one being directly next to each other was a bad idea.

Alright, thanks for telling me, I was going to delete it anyways, as we dont use npcs that much

Keep at it locke, it seems to be coming along well.

Yey :D

I made a schematic for a freedom/faction base, but im thinking freedom. It has a weed/gun room :D

Looks good so far, you got the nice Stalker feeling in it already. But you should use some custom textures too.
Now here is one question;

Will there be some dark, scary-ass sewers and tunnels for people to explore, and for the mutants to hide?
Like the sewer under the military base on Stalker.

I could work on that, I could model a map file ABOVE ground, then hand it over to the real pros to make it work, and compile-able.

Quote from: Tunddruff Nahh then people will steal it.

Not as a disrespect to "Locke", but no one will steal this.

It's a very poorly done map, with tons of misaligned textures, blocky and unrealistic geometry.

I don't care about the "irony" that "srp_wildterritory" is blocky at some parts, it's still a very solid and well optimized map.

So? It's being improved all the time, and so what if someone "steals" it? What the fuck we care if they use the map for their retardet-overused-half life roleplaying?
