Why join the Kiev Zone Research Institute?
The Ecologists are a group of Government-funded men and women who are both in and outside of the Exclusion Zone that study the area in an attempt to learn more about it. It offers much scientific roleplay variety, which is very different than typical Stalker activities. They are more involved in passive roleplay, and they also help the Stalker economy by offering jobs and buying artifacts.
There has been a drastic refurbishing of the Ecologist forums, and there's a new system put in place to increase the Ecologist roleplay!! We've recently decided to add a second division to the KZRI mix, called the Security Team. The Security Division needs staffing, so you're encouraged to apply and help us get Ecologist roleplay active again!

What's so great about Passive RP?
Passive Roleplay opens up a lot of possibility to be able to free your mind. You are able to do much more with passive than with in-game items. Being able to take an artifact and opening it up In-character is one of the greatest parts of being an Ecologist. You're able to poke your probing tools into some strange thing as the first person ever to do so. It's very rewarding at the end of it all.

Do I have to passive as a Security member?
Well.. Everybody should be encouraged to passive, and the Security should be passiving with the other members, socializing, yet guarding at the same time. They're all in one company, and passive is merely character development. Don't look at it as a bad thing.

I'm already an Ecologist, but i like the idea of the security it will suit me better. Do i have to apply for security or could i just be transfered to that division with my existing character please?

The KZRI security division is a new thing being brought to the Zone, with members being trained inside of a facility in Kiev. If you wanted to become part of the Security force, you would have to take say a week (OOC) leave to get enough training. This is rather impractical, and I suggest simply coming up with a new character. Make sure you read up on the divisions, and PM me your new character name if you'd like to be transferred to the Security Division.
