You have to download the Spoutcraft client, or downgrade to our current version of Minecraft, as we have yet to update.
The Spoutcraft client will allow you to connect to servers that haven't updated yet, without having to constantly upgrade and downgrade your regular Minecraft client.  I don't know what version of Minecraft we are at currently.  Sorry.

Download and run it just like your regular Minecraft application.  It works just like the one Mojang puts up for people to download:

I eventually figured out why I couldn't log into the server after spending a couple hours' browsing through the forum, and decided to explore it seeing as nobody else was online at the time. In this time, I stood on a lily pad which reacted by giving me a "Connection Lost - Internal Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException" error.


According to a large number of people, the fix for this (to save you guys having to find out if you didn't already know) is just to delete my player file (MakoNendrak) in the worlds->players folder of the server stuff, though a server reboot is needed, which is obviously quite a hassle. If it's decided that for whatever reason you won't be fixing my problem and I have to wait until the next map or whatever, that's fine, as long as I'm informed. :)

Wrong.

NPE isn't generated from player data, generally it has to do with client addons not being compatible with the server client.

I deleted your player file anyway.

Always keep your version of Spoutcraft up to date.  But also from Port:

cannonInspector: Bad Login is the most temporaryest of errors
cannonInspector: Basically it means the server things you're still logged in and doesn't know what to do
cannonInspector: The general solutions are;
cannonInspector: Wait an hour
cannonInspector: Log out, log back in
cannonInspector: Either one, or both
