Aryala Matrian walked through the streets of a small town looking for something to do. As she walked passed an alley, an old man waved her over.
Man: My dear girl, You look like you have traveled from a far place, and are in need of some assistance. Perhaps I could be of assistance by selling you this scroll?
Aryala: I'm sorry kind sir. I have no gold, silver, or copper to spare. I am afraid I can not afford your scroll.
Man: Well if that is the case, then by all means, take the scroll for free child.
Aryala: There is no need for you to give me it for free. I am not going to take something of value for free.

The man looked nervous, and quite unhappy that Aryala would not take the scroll.

Man: I insist upon it. Please take it.
Aryala: Your nervous about something, which in turn, makes me wish that you would stop insisting this scroll upon me, for you are making yourself suspicious. Now if you are done trying to offer me this scroll, I will take my leave.

Aryala walkes out of the alley, back into the street, leaving the old man to his scroll.

Dante Uchimachi was waved down by an old man and being curious, he decided to stop. Pulling back on the reins, he managed to get his cart/home weighted down by  various goods to stop a few horse steps down.

Old man: "e-escuse me, k-kind sir...would-would you be interested in purchase....purchasing this scroll?"
Dante: "And why should I buy something as useless as wrapped up paper?"
Old man: "H-have pity on an old fool, Im a bit down on my lu-luck and I have nothing to feed the chil-children."
Dante: "Keep your worthless scroll, I have no interest in buying from a creepy begger. Now off with you."

The old begger turned away, sad and disappointed until he was called back with a "hey" from Dante. The old man turned back to face him, only to have a large bag thrown at him.

Dante: "Take your junk with you." With that said, Dante snapped the horses into a jot and went on his way.

Surprised the old man looked into the bag to see enough food to feed him and the little ones a week. On top of the food was a small pouch that seemed to have been jammed into the bag in a hurry. He opened the pouch to have his eyes widen with surprise and filled with tears. The pouch was full of valuable gems.

Old man: "The gods bless you friend!!!"

I walk around the town, and see a poor old man trying desperately to rid him self of this scroll, I watch as he starts to approach me, "good sir, will you take this scroll and keep it like i did?" he asked me, "sure," i said.
This poor man's face was elighted and he told me his story, how his curiosity did this to him in a matter of decades. to pass it down before The old man he knew he was going to die. I took it. He there, on the spot, died from overjoy. With the feeling that he reminded me of my guardian when i was a kid. i felt some sadness but i held it back enough to bury him

Old Man: I cannot. I had no time to do such things. I had family I had to take care of and if i left for a moment they would have been killed by people who seemed to hate us.
Me: That is terrible.
Old Man: Indeed it is. *hands the scroll over*
Me: *takes the scroll and gives the Old Man the remainder of his money, 15 Gold Coins*.
Old Man: The money is not necessary.
Me: I insist. If this scroll does what you say it will you deserve payment.
Old Man: Thank you sir. You will not regret this. Oh and one more thing, Should you die with this scroll in your possession the gods will bring you back to life in a safe location.
Me: Wonderful! Thank you once more sir.

Lyna perched quietly on a shipping crate, large pink eyes flicking across any passerby, as though sizing them up. Her fingers carefully twiddled witha long bladed dagger, spinning it effortlessly on her palm and across her fingertips. She lifted her head and looked sideways as an elderly merchant in tattered robes crept closer, only things visible beneath the gloom of his hood being a crooked nose and a gleaming smile. The girl watched him closely as he came to a stop before her, a slight stench of opium and rotted vegetables wafting off of him as he reached into his pocket.
"You seem like a smart young woman... Someone who knows her way around the finer things..." He murmured, breath like mushy onions. Lyna narrowed her eyes at him, letting the handle of her dagger come to rest in her hand. "I happen to have come into possession of this fantastic parchment, a magical spell with remarkable implications." He added, producing the long double curled scroll from somewhere on his person. The edges of the parchment were torn and messy, but in certain places the surface danced with discharging energy. "It is said that this particular scroll was scribed by the great wizard Anonkin himself over the course of 35 years, all spent in deep meditation to fill the scroll with enough energy to make any man -or woman- a king." He said, baring a hole-filled grin. "I am an old man,and I have no use for power anymore. So, you being such a smart and beautiful young lady, I think I could let it go for say... 30 platinum?" He finished, extending a bony knuckled hand.
Lyna stared at him blankly before unfolding herself from her perch, standing before him and lifting one hand. In a motion she spun him against the wall, forcing him up the brick and lifting her dagger to his throat. "It's a good thing it'll net you so much money, because you're going to be in serious debt in a few seconds." She whispered, smiling sweetly. With a few quick motions of her hand she pinned him with one elbow, delving into his ruined clothing to remove every last coin from his person. She moved to drop him amidst his sputtered protests, but turned instead back to smirk menacingly. Her thin fingers wrapped around the scroll, wrenching it from his grasp. "On second thought, maybe I do want to be a King." She said, giving him a momentary wink before dropping him to the floor, flipping the parchment in her hand as she slowly strolled away.

Upon seeing the old man approaching him, Harald would stop dead in his tracks, vigilantly watching the man and, as casually as possible, leading his hand to the grip of his axe. The old man stopped before him and offered him the scroll in return for a fair bit of coin. Harald started to question the functions of the scroll, both curious and, once more, vigilant. Upon hearing of it's magical properties, Harald's curiosity was the victor and despite not yet hearing of it's specific uses, he made the exchange of coin and scroll. He quickly said his farewells and trotted away to the nearest empty alley, where he may explore the scroll's contents for himself.

A creepy old stranger approached Sirus. He had few scrolls in his hands. Once the old man smiled his toothless mouth, Sirus got his plans clearly without any word. Sirus - a mid-aged mercenary (or a "freelancer", as he likes to call himself), finding his interests in variety of booze in town's pubs rather in some suspiciously-looking scrolls. "Five silvers, five silvers!" - the old man keeps repeating to Sirus. The stench of cheap alcohol could be clearly smelt from the "merchant". "I'm not interested" - Sirus smiled ant turned his back to the old man. For the moment he stopped and looked back to the creeper. He was looking around for a potential customer. Sirus opened his purse, took one silver coin and whistled loudly. The old man turned at him, probably expecting for Sirus to change his mind. "Good luck with that!" - Sirus yelled and threw the coin to the old man. Old man caught it and smiled again. Sirus turned around and proceeded to the closest place where he could get something to drink.

A creepy old man approaches you on the street and tries to sell you an enchanted scroll.  What is your Reaction (rp it) An old man walks up to Raze who is waiting to meet up with a friend. The old man has gray hair and casually greets raze offering him an enchanted scroll.Raze remains weary for the old man may be a spy. "what does the scroll do?" Raze asks. the old man hands raze the scroll and says "its just a simple fire scroll, I'm trying to make a living so i can buy a gift for my sons birthday. Razes faces lifts a little "so this man wasent trying to scam me." he thinks to himself. Then Raze Smiles and flips him 1 platuim and 2 silver coins. "go make your son happy man, sounds like you've earned it." The man grins from ear to ear, thanks raze for his giving and rushes away. Then raze looks at the scroll and realized that the scroll was a fake. Me: "Hello?"

Old Man: "Hello, there. I've got somethin' you might be interested in."

Me: "Oh? And that is...?"

Old man:"That'd be this, my friend." The old man holds up a piece of rolled up parchment that gives off a strange vibe. He unravels it to reveal lettering unknown to my eyes.

Me:"A scroll? That I can't even read." With a quizzical expression I inspect it further.

Old Man:"Aye, but not an ordinary scroll" As he runs a finger from the top of the scroll to the bottom, the lettering he touches lightly glows with an eerie green color.

Me: My eyes widen slightly "Neat trick, but what  is its purpose?"

Old man: "If it peaks your curiosity enough, the only way to find out is with...a price." A smirk falls upon his face as his sentence finishes.

The hooded old man approaches Enarkiin and says:
"Hey there I'm sure someone of your race would find this invaluable"
Enark glances at the scroll, its written in the ender language it could help him find his homeland.
"I'll pay 1 plat for it says Enark"
The old man accepts the offer and gives Enark the scroll wich turns out to be an old shopping list, the old man runs for it,
Enark teleports over to him and slits the old conman's throat, takes his money (and the conman's) and heads for the town library.
Enark thinks to himself "they gotta have something there that will help..."
