Server Status

HGN Members,

You may have noticed that our fallout server has been locked and the forums wiped. This is because we are returning to basics, we are changing our canon to Fallout 3, this should make it apeal more as it's a more familiar time-line.

We are currently refilling the forum and any help would be appreciated.

We are reopening the server on the 25th of November. If you think you're going to play then why not apply to the enclave or brotherhood of steel? If you don't want to play there then please keep your views to yourself, If you're not going to play then it doesn't concern you.

Finally we are looking for trial administrators. If you are interested please PM Blake over the forums.

+1. The first run canon for that server was the best now it's been fucked to death.

We where already under FO3 canon.

Also having canon that is similar to other servers is not spectacular in my opinion but we'll see how this runs.

Seriously. The server isn't going to get better if you use the same canon that fucked the server in the first place. I refuse to play on the server if it will. The only way I can fallout rp working, is if it was like DnD.

We should implement a roll system, based off stats you choose at the beginning. Basically /roll strength , for a strength check when fighting some one, or something. I do agree.

I had a idea like this in a way for SRP to help even out rolling at times.

By the means of we don't want to be mineing or crap then have to turn that stuff into some semi-active dude who makes armor or some shit.

Sometimes people roll for shit to decide something for a roleplay situation, what I do is base it off what their character is and basiclly his stats you could say.

There is a line between RP and RPG, Although if my "Wimp" of a man decides to attack some one with a sword, and players decide to /roll, It should take in to account that one is indeed better then the other. Just like its common knowlege a blood sucker can rip a stalker to shreds, it would get a bonus to some rolls. It is different from mining and smelting materials that can be grinded. "RPG" aspect would be skills like intelligence, strenth, willpower, agility, ect. to decide wether or not a person can do those things instead of being a jack of all trades. You wanted a character that had flaws? Then you get to decide what hes weaker at from the start. I disprove of RPGs but there are RPG aspects that can collide correctly with said 'Role play'.

Just decide which attribute youll use then add lets say the 1/4 of the attribute value to the roll value.
