What do you think the next map should be like?

A little question. I plan on using the Far Z clip Plane option in fog settings. I will need fog to to cover the non-rendered stuff. I'm not sure as of how you make fog much like the fog in stalker redux. It looks like I need some kind of skybox fog. Does anyone know?

Just decompile the map, and take alook inside Hostel, you need to get hold of a program called "Hl2 vmex" to decompile, sadly it doesn't work in vista.

I was already aware of the fog options in the sky camera. But they don't get the fog type I want. And yes, no need for a tut. I already know how to make a skybox.

Thanks for the de-compiler Silver, I've looked at many different de-compilers but the don't seem to work that well. I'll give this one a try. This will help me immensely improve the quality of my work.

Alright, the skybox WAS the right fog option to change. I found that the stalker_redux map doesn't even use an env_fog_controller entity, it's all controlled in the sky camera.

Silver, go get windows XP and dual boot it. Now... :yes:

Getting a hang of this skybox. And with the magic of decompilation, I've learned how to do a lot more in a short period of time.

I have it duel booted XD, i just don't feel the need to boot into xp anymore XD

I got an idea for a map. Idk if we are allowed to edit the stalker map we are using right now, but if we can, we should make it so there is snow on the ground, because winter is coming up :) . Also, place some new buildings in the map, which I will post some pictures tomorrow on the buildings I can make.

I don't really want to use someone elses hard work. Anyways, it has framerate issues and I rather start out fresh.

Alright, but still what do you think about the snow idea, I mean I don't see a lot of rp maps with snow or anything.

Regarding the snow idea, I have no idea yet.

CSS has snow textures, well Office atleast.

I knew the guy who made it on SAMP for a bit (He's called Strelok of all things \0/) so i'll see if I can contact him.

I would love to see a Rostok/Wild Territory map. I think it could be doable, given the size of the map the server is usually on. Probably not ALL of Rostok or ALL of the Wild Territory but it could have the Duty city (maybe a lite version of it) and then the Army Warehouses (slimmed down, of course. Most of the army warehouse square footage isn't used anyway.) This section of the game is very iconic and provides "home bases" for both major factions.

I'm fixing up this map, to make it much more optimized.

It's a remake of Rostok, and most of the Wild Territory.

Also: Freedom and Duty should be in center of map but spread apart like to the west is Freedom to the east is DUTY.
