The Phantom D'Haran Legions

To the East of the Greatest City of the Emrorian Empire lies the Great Fortress of the D'Haran Empire, The People's Palace. This is where the D'Haran Empire has made its seat in this world. The very name of this fortress shows the reason this empire was created long ago, The People. It was created in ages past to protect the people of this world from a great and powerful evil that threatened to Cast this world into thousands of years of darkness. But one man led the empire to defeat this great evil. This was the first Lord Rahl. Since then the Empire has existed quietly tending to their own and leaving the rest of the world to do as it wished. But now, for the first time in many years The People's Palace has opened its gates to all who would wish to find shelter there...

The Leader of the D'Haran Empire is The Lord Rahl. He is always a powerful mage in fuffilment to a promise his acestor made to the people which was "I Shall Be the Magic Against Magic. But You Must Be the Steel Against Steel" This means that the Lord Rahl Shall protect his people against magical threats, but also that they must protect him from simpler threats.

The Empire is also Ruled by a council where every nation regardless of size recieves a fair say. If a nation has no desire to send a representative to the council but would still wish to be a part of the empire then their freedom is protected by the Lord Rahl who acts as a representative of their interests.

The Steel of the D'Haran army is made up of the D'haran Army. While the Lord Rahl is the commander of these forces in his abscence a commander general leads the army but should the Lord Rahl take to the field his orders rule. In Times of peace however the commander general of the army defers to the Commander of The First File on military matters.

The First File is an elite group of D'Haran soldiers charged with protecting the Peoples Palace and the Lord Rahl. The motto of this group is "We are the ring of steel around the Lord Rahl himself... Two thousand strong. We fall to a man before harm gets a glance at Lord Rahl" These men are the best of the best and have defeated many much larger forces of invaders.

The Lord Rahl is often unable to be the only Magic against Magic and because of this he has an order of wizards and an order of sorcerresses known as The Sisters of the Light...

The Wizards fall into a simple hierarchy
There is the First wizard, He is the most powerful Wizard (After Lord Rahl) And he commands the other Wizards.
After this are wizards of the second order these are Wizards who have proven themselves powerful enough to earn this rank.
And Finally there are Wizards of the Third Order. These are Wizards who, while no weak, were not powerful enough to ascend to the second order.

The Sisters of the Light are more often considered Priestesses and Teachers. They are more focused on using their talents for the benifit of mankind but they do assist Wizards in times of war. They are led by a Prelate and are charged with training the Wizards.

Finally there are the general people of the D'Haran empire. These are the Farmers Merchants Miners Blacksmith's and all others who the Empire could not exist without.

And Finally there is the motto of the D'Haran empire as it was said by the first Lord Rahl
"Your Life is Yours alone. Rise up and live it."


The Lord Rahl Nathan chose to throw open the gates to allow others to visit his home. But he placed his trust in the wrong people and was betrayed. But the Lord Rahl was a powerful mage and before the attack arrived he called his greatest general and first wizard to him. He told them that he had sensed a danger that they would be unable to overcome. And he ordered these two men to leave now so that they would be able to carry on the ideals of the D'Haran Empire. And so the phantom D'Haran legions were formed.
