Character Backstory : Having been fairly unlucky in his home village Octavian set off to seek his fortune in the land of Aceon.  The first city he found was the city of DEAP. The massive buildings stretching into the clouds and sprawling streets were impressive but they were also intimidating. The smells from the factories made his head ache and he missed the rolling green hills and forests that the landscape around DEAP did not provide.  He simply could not live amongst such industry. So he set out once more.  He spent many nights wandering the lands in search of a place to call home, he quickly found that he was not fond of the cities at all.
One night, tired of eating flowers and raw meet he headed to the lotus blossom in. The innkeeper Rarmae was very kind to him, giving him food when she need not. He vowed that one day he would repay her in some way.  As he left the inn and continued along the road he noticed a nice piece of land on the other side of the river. The roads were so empty around here, and he had taken note that there were few farms.  There was a niche to be filled and he knew he could fill it. So he began construction on a small farm and mill despite the rumors of bandits in the area.
Then one morning The Lord Magus arrived on his doorstep. Octavian was caught off guard by the demand for money and a permit. He had not been aware that this land belonged to anyone.  At first he was skeptical about joining, not sure what sort of conflicts he might get pulled into. The idea that his Mill might become some casualty of some war bothered him more than the five gold fee. However after much thought Octavian realized that trade with DEAP could be quite lucrative, it was the closest city after all. So he agreed to join their empire with out knowledge of their past and little desire to learn.


OOC Join Reason (if any): I like my Mill and didn't want it destroyed in a fiery inferno. Plus I had been robbed (the only took all my stone and some other useless things so no worries) while I was logged off. So I figured a little protection wouldn't hurt.

When they surrendered into debt, Xtephen was quietly horrified, and lost nearly all faith in The Legion. By the time Xtephen had begun planning to desert, the Legion had already disbanded and left Aceon, and Commandant Wilfre slipped from Tybolt's grasp. As the days went on, he learned of the actions of The Novarium Expedition and their latest expansion into Elven lands. Angered by the Novarium's greedy and racist behavior, Xtephen decided he would join a faction that would enable him to try to fight and what was right.... (Problem?)

Sure that there were riches to be found in the earth below his manor, Kolaek began digging. Soon enough, he did discover riches. A road was formed deep into the earth. At the end of it was an underground hall with buildings attached to all sides...
But such fortune was not to last. For an unknown reason with no real basis in the reality of the world around them, some bad ripoff decided to begin hostile actions towards that random house on the coast. Faced with a decision between standing firm in his guardianship of two women and a house he built with his own hands or moving to the safety of another city, he began explaining to his wards what was required from the situation, and he went to meet an official of DEAP...

Character Backstory: Rune speaks little of himself to anyone, preferring the discussion of academic topics. It  is clear he has some skill in the Art, though he rarely uses this gift unless pressed. This reluctance likely stems from the experiment that brought him to Drovari in the first place. Being a man of scholarly pursuits, the peaceful and reflective culture of the Druchii Empire appeals to him, especially when compared to the other, more warlike factions. Character Backstory (at least one paragraph, include why you want to join if you are not native): Tie toes lived in a small home with his mother and father in the back fields of Aceon. His life was simple as a child. He did very mundane tasks and worked hard on his families land for most of his childhood. As time past and Tie grew, he left his parents to search for better opportunity in the city. There he found a job as a foreman and now lives out his life under the city grounds.

OOC Join Reason (if any): I loved the city and how it looked. I was given a very wonderful tour and almost instantly fell in love with it. After I was given my job, and shown my work place I couldn't turn it down for another! I had to join.
