That video made me cringe..

They really need to start arming the cops if they're getting set on fire and being pushed back by freaking protestors.

Riots againts the government cutting funding is fucking retarded.

"Hey they cut our money, instead of showing we can be trusted, and regain some money. LETS Cost them MORE MONEY!"

Riots against the government being poor is fucking perfectly sensible.

"Hey they stole our money, instead of staying status quo, Let's rebel and show them that we don't want them leading our country!"

I'm pretty sure if Greece wasn't part of the EU, America'd be storming in to clean up the mess.

Perfectly sensible to make a poor country poorer, your logic is perfect man!

I can only imagine the fear running through his mind as he slowly burned to death.

Didn't read the article but I am assuming her died.

He was on fire for about 30 seconds when they just patted him out.

It takes a while to burn to death especially with 50 pounds of nylon tactical riot gear (that is designed for this kind of abuse) on. I bet he was more or less fine other than some burning.

Or at least I hope he was more or less fine. There's protesting and then there's rioting and Greece has just been out of control.

The problem in arming the police imo is if the rioters gang up on one officer and manage to get his gun you have a rioter with a gun how do you think thatrs going to paly out? People will be throwing bombs at them and the police might open fire in self defence leading to deaths maybe. Don't rage at me for what i think could of happend.

I agree arming riot police with guns is not a good idea. What would that look like to the rest of the world if cops shot up a riot? To a reasonable person, shooting someone throwing molotov cocktails at people seems like a perfectly justified response but 99% of the rest of the world will disagree with that and Greece probably would prefer the rioters not receive more credibility than they have already.

I don't think we'll be able to marry rapists and whatnot.

True and tbh I think if the rioters wanted guns they would have some with them since its not really that hard to get hold of a gun nowadays.
