What would you do?

So today, 3 AM morning - Police knocked on my door.
I opened the door, asking what do they need, and they said that they seen ladder to my balcony.
So I let them in, and we went to my balcony - there was a ladder under my balcony, nobody around.
I gave them my ID card (Or however it is called in English) and Phone number. And they left.


If my neighbours haven't called Police, someone might have got into my house without myself knowing it.


What would you do if that alternative way happend? I am quite scared, I mean I thought nobody would dare to do such thing like putting ladder right to my balcony and try to climb inside.

Do you live in an apartment or a house? If you're afraid of burglary then invest into some security such as getting an alarm or a dog. Closing the window at night would be a clever thing to do.

I live in Flat. And yes I do have mostly closed windows on balcony, but who would thought that someone would do such thing, like trying to climb inside?

Get some secure locks on your doors and windows.

Maybe an alarm system so you set it before you go to sleep.
If a door/window is opened, alarm goes off.

That's not quite what I meant, of course I will probably start closing windows for night again.
But I meant - what would you do if you seen that person climbing into your flat/or actually seeing him on your balcony.

Did you even ask for ID from the "police"? Just because someone says they are police or are dressed as police does not mean they are who they say they are. However the ladder thing? Close your windows at night.

I have a SOG tomahawk and a SOG seal pup knife so i'd probably threaten the guy or who ever to leave. If he came at me i'd defend myself. Close your windows and have a handgun or blade of sorts next to you.

Been in kickboxing for 5 years and wrestling for 3 years, so I'd just put him in an awkward position and ask him/her if he/she has ever been fisted before.






EDIT: Sorry, I guess humor isn't allowed outside of the GVC. Let me help the admin/aspy out with this. Wrestling is known to be made fun of as a gay sport because of the areas you grab around, etc. The awkward position would be a wrestling position, and I would fist like that of a boxer.
