Gunslingers

Not quite holy men, not quite soldiers, the Gunslingers act as a force against the unknown in Caphori. Magic is unnatural, demons are evil. The Gunslingers fight against these things, purging the heretical from the land. ((More coming after some more discussion with Steven regarding Lore and other stuff, hang tight)

Joining the Gunslingers

Gunslingers are selected for training from an early age, usually around 10-12. They spend the next 6-8 years learning the art of their trade, both combat skills and diplomatic skills so that they may interact effectively with the powers that be in a given land on assignment. Although it is rare it is possible for outsiders to join the brotherhood but the Gunslingers prefer to recruit from their own and train them earlier.

Upon graduation each Gunslinger chooses a name and receives his weapon. Often these are family heirlooms passed down from generation to generation of Gunslinger and no two weapons are alike. Gunslingers are Gunslingers for life though older ones rotate out of frontline duty and into support roles when age slows them down.
