Title: Rule Infractions.
Post by: CAMaera on 28-02-2012
It seems the rules are a bit...disregarded lately. Below are some points.

1. Two Homes

I know a few people who do this, and it's really not cool. the rules clearly state ONE personal building is allowed. Just to name one off of the top of my head, Nathan Jones. His "Holiday Home" sits vacant ALL the time. I've never seen him in it, frankly.

2. Huge Homes

Yes, yes, this is about Dante's MASSIVE villa. But also, I know other homes which break the restrictions also. One of the mods told me on the topic that it was an abandoned home and he fixed it up. That's fine, but others who create them and get away with it because it looks "cool"(even the mods let some houses go because of aesthetics). This is now not just Players breaking the rules, but Moderators for letting them break the rules.

3. "Hidden" buildings

We get it. Super secret desert base. But really? It's not any better than Ael/Kami's...whatever the hell it was. I guess it's not that big of a deal, since they are submerged, but most are private homes and violate the restrictions, or public buildings that should be accessible by the general population. Not as big of a deal as 1.

These are problems that should be fixed, as there are more and more people in Caphori everyday that want to make a home of their own.

i have to say in response to the unserground bases thing it takes up fairly little space for what it is which is a guild house/ farm/ housing area and any space added will be for homes not anthing eles.

Dante here to speak on his defense. My massive villa was as you had mentioned before, an abandoned, unfinished building that had been left be for the longest time. Rather than fill it in, I made use of it and was not even a week after I had finished it that new ideas came in. The idea of creating a brewery came from king leon himself. After continued renovations, I decided to make a mead hall instead which will now serve as a potential settlement for several players if they should desire to move away from the main town. Im not asking to ignore the rules...no, all I ask is for the chance to finish it before you make your judgement on what should be done with it.

((yes I know we talked about this in game but since it was brought out of game, I had to post in all fairness))

@Minion: Yes, I forgot about that. I said that it was fine because it was an already-built structure, and I understand. As we do not have a brewery, that would be a great and welcome idea.

@vatovie: Yes, I understand that it doesn't, but these buildings need to be open to the public if there isn't a good reason to. The Assassin's guild has a good reason for others to not enter, so it is fine. I really have more of a problem with the Steel Dragons as their base was above ground, but is now hidden.

Hidden buildings are fine with me as long as the person who owns it intends for it to be hidden and has a reason, but if its a community building then it shouldn't be hidden.
