Jakrin, a master of the arcane arts, has traveled the world for years looking for the cure to age. Obsessed almost to death with the idea of immortality he scourers the lands using every once of his magical power to keep himself alive. Now at old age he has found his cure, but it isn't a easy thing to come by. In the depths of the world he found a small tome on how to use arcane crystals to make yourself immune to age and impenetrable by normal means. He now looks for volunteering young to help him find the items he requires and finish his spell so he may become submerged into the body of a arcane golem and become immortal. Though the risks of being attacked by mages when the task is done is high he still strives for the chance at immortality.

The Deathtome family is the least known mage family in all of the world, but is probably the strongest of them all. Isolated from all other humanoids they have sat on a dark island breeding and draining all the magic from the land; not once tainting the bloodline with none magic genes. Many have began to leave their homeland in search for knowledge and power. The lands energy has long been drained and most left are elders and youngsters teaching and training. Everyone on the island shares the name Deathtome, but the population is large enough that they are rarely closely related and most of them simply share the name through the original clans that formed the civilization. After many years of migrating the Deathtome family has become much more famous, but not for good reasons. Draining fresh lands of energy and killing any mage they come across for power. Though most of their infamous actions have only been rose upon on the small continent next to their home the "Deadlands", cleverly named for its lack of green. Very few of the Deathtome have ventured past the continent since it still has much more to offer before it is drained of all its energy. Though Jakrin still travels past to avoid the hate of others and in hopes to find immortality.
