Character Editing in Terraria Veiwer.

This is nothing more than a simple post, a warning.

IF you use Terraria veiwer to modify the look of your character, Please remove everything you have on your character, and put it into a chest. Because the modified character will look new, keep it's original health, but will be given new-player items.

If I want to modify my character's hair/skin/shirt, etc. I have to get rid of all his items and start fresh..?

No, what i mean is if you have items on your character, they will be deleted when changing your character.

Unless you put them into a chest (safe probably not a good idea, piggybank either)

The program I use to change skin tone and stuff doesn't delete all my stuff. I thought you meant warning as in it would be a bannable offence or something.

I don't know what you think Terraria Viewer does but it does not delete your items... I use it very often and it has never deleted my items and when it did once it was because I accidentally pressed a hotkey, but I simply had to press undo command so I'm not sure what you're talking about...

That program is somewhat of a risk, because sometimes if you have an older version, or sometimes the program just glitches and it gives the items weird ids. This is just a failsafe, to Protect you if it does happen.

It deleted all my items thats why this topic has been made to stop it happening to anyone else. It deleted all my items on me, in my safe and piggy bank. I spawned with 200 or of each starting item.

Ya glitches can happen, but thats why I have my fail safe of always duplicating my character file before using it. If it does glitch? Then I have a back up file of the character ready to go.
