What music do you want to see ingame? The new patch is coming soon and i want to add some music. But only the best. Suggest anything which fits into the fallout theme. So things from bioshock would also fit in too.

Can I send you a list of fallout music?

Wolfinton

I could just go about listing Galaxy News Radio songs or Radio New Vegas songs, but I wont. Instead, I'll list the 2 or 3 songs that I extremely like.

New Vegas Radio - Ain't that a kick in the Head by Dean Martin
Black Mountain Radio - Big Iron by Marty Robbins
Fallout 3 Soundtrack - Maybe
Pink doesn't make me gay, it makes you homophobic.

How about the original fallout 1 soundtrack?

This is actually oddly convinient. I had an interesting idea today.

What if we set up an online radio station? I've known people to run internet radio stations before--but I also know there's a mod in Gmod Toybox that allows you to listen to particular channels. Or so I think that's what it does.

Would it be possible to make an in-game radio that links to such an online channel--then someone makess a server for the channel playing all pre-war music? Shit, I got a voice for radio. :P Though I don't have the attention span to set up Winamp again to do it myself.

But the radios in the wasteland, rather than play set media, could play these streamed tracks. My only worry is if, bandwidth-wise, it'd be feasable.

Pink!

The Andrews Sisters - Beat Me Daddy Eight To The Bar
Golden Gate Quartet - My Time Done Come (Definite PK song)
The Ink Spots + Ella Fitzgerald - I'm Making Believe
Hossier Hot Shots - I Like Bananas (Because They Have No Bones)
Amos Milburn - Atomic Baby - MUST INCLUDE THIS
Burt Ambrose Orchestra - The Old Man of the Mountain
Bob Hope - Buttons and Bows
Kay Kyser - Slow Boat To China
Al Jolson - Are You Lonesome Tonight
The Charioteers - Ezekiel Saw The Wheel
The Southern Sons Quartet - Praise The Lord and Pass The Ammunition
Bing Crosby - Singing on a Star
Golden Gate Quartet - Atom And Evil - ALSO VITAL

I'll upload my collection to rapidshare, there's around a hundred there.

For various reasons, I'm not at HGN much any more.
I'll see you all around, though, some time...

I could easily arrange this.

Butcher Pete.

Also, should we stick to songs made before the great war? Like only songs made in 1950s?

Or songs made to sound like classic music of that era?

Or just any song can be suggested?

I often fail to follow-through. I have seven playermodels, one photoshop file, and soon I shall have one Shoutcast server in my 'todo HGN' folder.

Why do you think I'm playing Fallout RP so much instead of doing my overdue college papers? :D

I always felt it was closer to the 40s, a time of swing and rock n' roll - rock less like CCR, and more like this. Maybe as far as the early fifties, but mostly focused on the morality after World War II, that wonderful, swinging time. It 'locked in' around that time after World War II.

Actually, I disagree; CCR does not fit the tone of Fallout, as an example. It is far more reminiscent of the Vietnam War.

Remember, songs and cultural staples become more popular after they are released, hence the frequency of 30s, 40s, and 50s culture in Fallout.

I mean the Vietnam war had to of happen in Fallout time line and why were only songs for the 40s,30s saved there would be atleast be some form of Rock music

Not really, the world stopped evolving in about the 40s and 50s era. Rock may have started, but it be rare. Almost completely unheard of.

Most citizens before the war would never listen to it because people hated change and would call it Communist music or something.

Music should be rare as is, so you need to find music that existed during and before the 50s in large quantities.

And Vietnam War never happened.
