The Battle for Tor

A few days after the Battle at Udorton Aridell regrouped at Rockwell. Taking 40 men from a post at Phyron and 60 survivors they linked up with Rockwell's infantry and Arkenstone to counter attack. During mid day some 140 Soldiers under an Arid generals command both Arkenstone and Aridellian met with Dwarves at Tor. The Arids used suppressive fire on the Dwarves and 3 powder kegs where rolled into the gate and lit. After the Arids broke in they used Bayonets to stab their enemies and occasionally fired their MM1s. After taking losses on both sides the Dwarven commander fell back to Tors keep as 10 Arid soldiers set up in Talon's house to fire back. A few Arids moved in with torches to burn the town but where gunned down. A stray Musket round hit Talon and wounded him out of the fight during the battle. The Aridellians fell back to a settlement just outside of Tor in the hills and regrouped while a few men from Arkenstone covered them. The Dwarves stayed in Tor and a stalemate insured. A few days later the fighting continued. The Arids used trenches to open up on Tor while not advancing distracting the Dwarves. 24 Arid soldiers undermined the walls and surfaced gunning down some of the men on the walls as well as stabbing some. They set fire to some homes as well. The Dwarves opened up on these men killing all 24 instantly. 200 Dwarves from New Castle came down the road to reinforce Tor but before they made it to the gate the Arids in their trenches opened fire. The Dwarves moved in slaughtering Arids in the lower trenches with point blank musket fire but met fire from trenches on the nearby hill. The Dwarves and Arids shot at each other until the Arids charged into the Dwarves below leaving a few on the hill. The Arids and Dwarves continued pointblank combat for the next few hours. Some time during this the Arid General has a team fire at the Powder mission which blew a part of the wall up and made a massive noise. Moodie and 24 men from another town arrived at the battle using the boat "The Rockwell Pursuit". Moodie used fog of earth to blind some Dwarves which proceeded to fire in random directions. Moodies men hit from the rear and the fighting continued. Moodie finished a group of Dwarves with the same spell some time later and the Dwarves where killed, right after they proceeded to shoot a few Arids dead of course. After a bloody full day of combat the Dwarven reinforcements where dead and the Arids exhausted. A messenger was sent to the Rubyroot commander for a draw and it was accepted. Both sides abandoned their positions.
