Date Unknown -- Briefing
The mission briefing just ended. Wolfe says we've been hired for a private company on this planet called 'Desertia'. No one has ever heard of it. The others think its strange, and I'm not sure what to think of it. All we know is it is a Desert planet...obviously. Some rumors have been goin' round base saying that the place is a shit hole...infested with aliens and shit. I doubt it. All we've heard is the company needs protection from these bandits on the planet that have been giving them trouble. God, I hope this goes well.
Date Unknown -- Preparing
The men have been getting extremely nervous. I've seen people packing a LOT more gear then they need. One guy was carrying at least twelve grenades. What's gotten into them? Jester and I have been taking this pretty calmly, theres not really anything to worry about yet. Oh yeah, that reminds me. I recently got Jester Crousland promoted to Lance Corporal. Hope he does his job well in my squad. News is that we deploy in twenty-four hours. I better hurry up, then.
Date Unknown -- Arrival
We've just arrived at 'Desertia'. It's completely empty, not a single human being in sight. Everyones calmed down now, and we're preparing to head on our way towards the companies location. We're all riding out in a convoy.
Date Unknown -- God, help us
We were ambushed. The company wasn't lying about bandits. Our entire convoy was rolling through the dunes, and they just came over the hills. My squad, along with two others, managed to escape. They killed hundreds of us. The men are starting to freak out now, shooting at almost anything that moves. We've had almost three friendly-fire casualties now. Shits getting out of hand.

It started with me having to take a piss. Jester followed me into a mine-shaft, where I had decided to drain my snake. He was keepin guard...and I was pissing away. Then...I noticed something. My piss was shining, I kicked around at it a little, and a found a fucking crystal. Zipping my fly up, I called Jester over, and he took a look. We turned on our flashlights, looking up and down in the corner. There was a shit load of crystals, stacked up in the wall. According to Jester, these things are worth tons of money. We packed 'em up, and agree'd not to tell the others. It may sound like I'm abandoning my own men, but we're gonna make a lot more money off these then we do right now. Since one of the intel officers is probably reading this right now, I'm disconnecting. Good bye, WOLFE Incorporated.
