Dragon

Origin: Global
Nickname(s): Fire Breathing Lizards

Information:
Dragons are incapable of speech, live in isolation far away from Human settlements and often hunt creatures in wild areas teeming with life. The creatures aren't inherently magical, although they're resistant to magical effects like induced sleep, paralysis or telepathy. Whether or not they can understand common Crussarian languages is unknown.

The Dragons of Crussaria are believed to be intelligent, semi-sentient reptilian creatures that usually stand at about the size of a two story house. The majority of Dragons in Crussaria are the variants of which have their wings fused to their frontal arms (ref. pic), and likewise, only a few variants having their wings separated from their arms as their own fully functioning extension. The Dragons in Crussaria are built to be extremely resilient to most forms of elemental damage (Fire and Cold being the main two), and also bolster a natural resilience to Physical Damage, both factors depending on the many various factors of the scale plating that covers the Dragon. The common-or-garden Dragon will roughly have 100mm of thick shell, which is enough to protect the beast from either physical or magical Fire and Cold, whilst likewise being enough to easily withstand strikes from a Steel Weapon, especially if it strikes an angled scale, which commonly runs the risk of denting a blade or morphing a hammer or mace. Bolts and Arrows, unless hitting the creature from a straight angle, will most likely be bouncing off of the armor of the Dragon.

Essentially, an extraordinary ability of these beasts is the localized ability to breathe super-heated air that is capable of causing the skin or flesh of unprotected creatures to boil and crack, or likewise, it has the ability to utilize a gas bladder in the back of the throat to spew fire and engulf a target in an inferno. Another ability of the creature is the fact that they can easily create thick clouds of heavy smoke, which is a common occurring when the Dragon has ingested any minerals or ores, such as Coal. These abilities make the creature a formidable foe, especially since they are capable of these feats.

Despite common belief, most Dragons are not immediately hostile to Humans unless they have a reason to be hostile. This can be due to provocation or through past experiences that a Dragon may have endured which has ended with receiving Hostility from a Human first. It is unknown whether or not a Dragon is able to speak with their kind, or with people who are not of their kind, but it is highly disputed that they are incapable. Most Dragons, even Neutral Dragons, are keen to stay away from Humans or any other Race, which is why there is so much speculation floating around Dragons. Minimal contact is made. The reason behind this is unknown, although there are many who believe that this is probably for the best.
