HL2: Jaykin' Bacon Source: A Half Life 1 mod.

So, i've searched the forum and couln't find a topi for this mod, so without further delay I will introduce to you...



(A Half-Life 1 Modification)

Half-Life 2: Jaykin' Bacon: Source is one of the lesser played albeit one of the best HL1 mods out there. It features a very very wide variety of wepaons. You're probably more interested in hearing about the game its self though so read on.

Side Note: You'll like it if you like MGS probably.

Game Modes:

Death Match: Classic style death match. With long dive being a default manuver and Action Half-Life style diving, combat is fast paced. Every player spawns with all weapons and it's just pure carnage. I find Deathmatch fun in the sense that, even if you die, alot of the time it's in ways that are funny.

Team Death Match: It's like Death Match, but in teams. Havn't played this mode yet because it seems like it'de promote competativeness, which this mod is absolutly not about (You can be, but it's easy because the roots of the mod is as a joke mod, so there are several OP weapos).

NOW THAT WE GOT THE BORING **** ASIDE.

Battle Royale: It's like the movie. Each player is given a single weapon (often a silly weapon like a singular trip mine or a scoped knife) and the fist weapon.

The goal is simple: be the last alive.

When prone and crouched, you are transparent (hiding), so stealth is possible and encouraged when you arn't strapped.

Snake Versus Monkies (or Mercs): This game mode plays out like alot of Metal Gear Solid 3. One randomly selected player will spawn as Big Boss and the others will spawn as Spetsnaz guards.

The objective for Snake is to either kill all the monkies or get to the kerotan pile and touch it. To complete this, you must manage your camo and hiding to avoid detection and get the drop on guards.

The objective for the Monkies is to either kill snake or prevent him from getting to the Kerotan pile for the alloted time (I think 6 minutes). use your radios to communicate with each other and to prevent Snake's success! Team work is essential as a Monkey because you are slow, which makes you vulnerable when singled out.

Snake Versus Real Monkies: This game mode is some what like Snake Versus Monkies. One player spawns as snake and the others spawn as monkies from Ape Escape. Monkies are fast, but armed only with Melee. Snake must survive for a 2 minutes from a never ending hoarde of monkies.

This game mode is fast paced and action packed. FUN FOR ALL AGES!

Seeing as how the game has countless MGS reference so I figured, why the fuck not? Sounds are fun to make.

The SAA and the twirl sounds are ripped from MGS3, as ar ethe reloads albeit with backround noise.

Yeah, i've played it since shortly after 2.1 dropped. That's where I got my start in game RP actually.

One thing's for sure, despite the terrrible players, most of the essentials was covered and it was less petty then any of the gmod RP i've done.
