Is it possible to download a game using the CD Key without Steam?

Download the game using a torrent and use the CD key.

This. You already legally own the game so it's not really piracy since you did pay for it. Probably the easiest way.

I'd be the last person to advocate torrenting ANYTHING but since you do legally own it I think it would be acceptable.
