Lol I remember 1942.. I played the shit out of that game, I always sat inside the destroyed city inside one of these little buildings and would always run up on a tank and try and pwn it.
I'm very happy they've decided to continue on with the traditional series rather than some cheap spin offs.

This game is rather sexy.
Looks like COD if COD stuck with its "We want to make you feel like a soldier as part of a bigger war" original concept instead of moving to this retarded "Badass secret agent CIA SF operator"
No mod tools though... Let's face it, battlefield games where only ever good because of the mod communities of BF1942, vietnam and BF2.
Has some interesting features though, may actually be worth a look. Though a similar cover to BC2 kind of puts me off.

From their point of view it isn't. Console users can't mod so it's not worth them spending the time to make mod tools when over 75% of the population of the game couldn't use them. Plus it means they can charge for DLC and shit like that since there are no mods giving content for free.
I think the days of hardcore modable games are close to over. Other than Valve's catalog I cannot think of a recent triple A title that had mod support short of a map editor.

It will be better on PC because it's a shooter.
I think the teamwork will be far better on the pc. I've tested both and it's evident to me for reasons unknown that players on the computer have better teamwork even gamespot did a survey on it and computer won by far for teamwork. Due even this, I have to buy it on console. Due to the lameocity of my computer and that Ive been using consoles for the greater part of my life.
I think the teamwork in Bad Company 2 is fine, medics do their actual job and people don't all go /sniper.
So, I think it will work out here as well.
Whenever I play BC2 I am always stuck on the team with 8 snipers. Drives me up a fucking wall.
90% of the times I play most people go medic or assault, I also always have a nice bunch of engineers that repair my tank/APC/helicopter.

Seriously, don't make me laugh, there is a serious lack of teamplay in BC2 just as there is most vanilla BF games. Reviving someone because you get points isn't teamplay.

It was my opinion, I saw some good teamwork so far, go play squad deathmatch.

No game is a 'clone' of CoD, because CoD did not start the genre of FPS. 85% of all FPS games play the same, and always have, and most likely always will in some way, shape, or form. The never ending MoH vs CoD topic. MoH = realism. CoD = Multiplayer. Summed up in a basket. BF games took it their own way, 1942 being my favorite and in my honest opinion, best of them all. Just because a game -seems- to have "CoD graphics" does not mean it does. Different engines are different engines and work in different ways. I just hope BF3 dosnt turn into a major disappointment like MW2, Black Ops, and the new Medal of Honor reboot did.
If this is just a little spinoff remake of Bad Company, im going to fucking scream bloody murder.
I want it to be a helluvalot more like BF2 gameplay wise.
