Actually I agree with this statement more than you realize. Jake was in control of FORP until about September and the whole summer it stayed dead. When I was made the only SV, I tried to spark activity. Of course nothing interesting happened. Somewhere along the line Blake was made SV and someone decided we'd do Fallout 3. I forget who. Might have been me, might have been Exile, or Blake, I can't remember. I'll make you feel better though and let's say it was my stupid idea.

Sure, the server became populated, but the RP was fucking terrible. I helped create a monster. Then Blake did something stupid* and made everyone mad and the population went from 25 daily for months to 0 overnight.

*Although, in hindsight, I think he knew what he was doing and the move wasn't stupid at all. He was killing the abomination.



Anyway when I was trying to revive FORP, I was gonna set it in New Vegas since I figure, "Eh, it's most popular." Then you guys came along and said, "SPADES, NO. ARE YOU A FUCKING IDIOT?!" Guess what? After the flaming died down, I stopped and chatted with Paintcheck in private who proved his point so I held a vote to see if there was enough widespread interest. Fallout 2 lore beat out both NV and FO3 combined. I took your advice. What can I say? You guys were right. So why are you still mad about something that isn't a problem anymore? It's not like the Holocaust or Slavery or something that left a permanent emotional mark on your fragile little minds.

More recently, Exile wanted to change the lore to Fallout New Vegas to get more popular. Paintcheck was actually with me on Teamspeak when it happened. I sided with Paintcheck and said no to changing the lore. It's worked so far, why fix it now?


But moving on, I know full well this isn't my only problem. I really wish you guys would PM me once in a while and tell me what I'm doing wrong, but then tell me what you think would be a better thing to do. What am I gonna do? Ban you? You really believe I'd ban you if you provided me with some advice instead of purely bitching? Of course there's another past flaw of mine. Can't say I don't understand it. No one ever gave me any formal training when I became an administrator for HGN, and at the time, I also foolishly thought I could do without it. I had admin experience, but nothing on a scale of this community.




Then again I don't know why I bother typing all this. The few of you who still don't like me are probably going to still not like me. Disappointing, because I can name redeeming things about almost everyone in HGN I've spoken to enough--including you meetadoom.
