(Yes I'm going to pick on you briefly Frozenfire. :P I hope you find the humor and serendipity in it, so bare with me Froz if you're reading this.)

Everyone knows a person like mxh24. Those of you who know him in FORP know what I talk about. Whether it's an RP community, first person shooter, an online forum, or even in real life, everyone has that one person who everyone else hates at first (because he is, indeed, fucking annoying at first) but then in the end we're all glad we know them.


I can list at least four people who fit this description.
- Julian Dotson; real life friend I once knew. Certainly not mentally stable. Gothic kid. Screams a lot. Oh god I wanted to shoot him for the longest time. But then, one day, I grew to tolerate him--and then even grew to enjoy his antics. We've since gone our separate ways, but I'll miss him dearly. Childhood friend.
- CoolSweeny; former clanmate on Xbox Live. He joined my clan the 5th Recon Division and had subsequently been banned, rejoined, banned, and rejoined again. He was young, too. Only 13 when I first met him (he'd be 15 or 16 today I think). He got into fights with EVERYONE in the clan, absolutely never followed any strategy or tactics in-game, and was usually the worst player on our team no matter what game we were involved with ranging from Ace Combat 6 to CoD4. He. Just. Sucked. And he got upset over the most ridiculous things. Drama drama drama. But then, one day, he grew up. He humbled. I'm not sure what changed, but his constant idiocy came to a sudden end. The community, though with much reluctance, forgave him for his past stupidity--and soon he gained skill. He gained loyalty. He was enjoyable to talk to. In the end, I miss him too.
- [ToD] TheJoker; A current member of the clan I'm in on Bad Company 2. Oh dear god this kid reminded me so much of Sweeny. I swear, it's like his American doppleganger (Sweeny was British incidentally). It started with him being a moron on my Minecraft server (we played when the BC2 server was having slow days), then he started fighting with another member of the clan, and next thing I know they're bitching each other out every day in Teamspeak, and my Minecraft server one day is a fucking crater from the skirmish they had. I permabanned him. He's actually still permabanned. The more he begged to get back in, the more he pissed me off. It grew to the point where this kid pissed me off so extensively that I flat out refused to talk to him. I muted him and everything. I even openly talked shit about him in front of the clan leader (who frankly didn't appreciate Joker's behavior either) while Joker was IN the room. Eventually though I started to realize I was the one who took this too far. I stopped raging at him and decided to give him a second chance. I'm glad I did. Frankly he too realized he screwed up and he wanted to start over just as much as I did. I still think he's not the best player, but at least now he's a team player. That's all I care about. Fortunately I'm still in contact with this one--although it's been a while since I've been on Bad Company 2. I went on for the first time in MONTHS just a few days ago.
- mxh24 / Frozenfire; Saved you for last! :P And since you can actually read this I'll explain it directly. You used to piss me off. I believe it began with the fact that you became a mercenary for Kira--then just quit when you got owned by some prick in the Brotherhood of Steel. (At the time, a certain group of crappy, abusive admins were ruining the server. They've since been fired.) You also robbed outside of Kira's shop which pissed me off. But then IC problems led to OOC drama. Needless to say I had flashbacks of Sweeny and Joker when I began to realize how frankly terrible you were at RP. The more you tried to be like, "Please don't hate me Kira :(" the more it OOCly pissed me off. Meanwhile, I do admit, you've got a bit of a habit of not knowing when to just shut up. :P I know you're still working on that. But now, this is where you've redeemed yourself... You are a lot better at RP than you were when you began. You're not 'lolrobbing' everyone anymore. Unfortunately you've got two strikes still that haunt your past, but I think it's time for a clean slate with you. Others may disagree, but I haven't seen you starting trouble, merely (understandably) defending yourself. I've talked to you, and you've taken my advice, don't fall for the flamebaiting pricks in the server. Either Jake, Blake, Khorn, or myself will deal with those assholes. You just keep doing what you're doing, don't let anyone ruin your day, and keep having fun. I'm glad to say I'm glad to know you. You're obviously not the best roleplayer around, but you're still up to par with the rest of the community now, and you're still getting better and better. As stated, you of all people deserve a fresh start I believe.







Now assuming you had the tolerance to read all that crap, now it's your turn. Post a name (or a fake one if you want to protect the innocent) then a story about them. Someone you used to fucking hate, but now you're glad you know them--and explain why!

All that's left to do now is hope this doesn't turn into a flame fest. >_> But then again flaming is allowed in GVC, I guess.
