Mass Effect Universe is a text based RP site that takes place in the Mass Effect Universe. Our site has over 50,000 posts and 450+ members, and keeps on growing. We have updated our timeline to Mass Effect 2's new one, so members may start RPing anywhere with anyone.

Our story continues on the Mass Effect storyline in 2199, and alot has happened since. Prior to 2183, the Geth's capital has been destroyed, yet they have built a massive army under the guidance of Yarik Streydus. Many Alliance worlds have fallen, and the Geth keep attacking. Their latest attack was on the Citadel, one that heavily damaged the station, killed millions, and left the races in a state of shock. At the end the Geth Fleet that attacked, along with Geth ground forces were shut down by Yarik Streydus, allowing for the Citadel to be retaken.

Since 2183, the Humans have a fixed council seat. One of their major acomplishments is the stabilization of the Attican Traverse, earning them the Archos Verge. The Verge is a semi-stable area that was once going to be given to the Turians. The Batarians have started up a major resistance to this, saying Humanity should not be rewarded for something they were trying to do prior to them getting the Traverse.

After Shepard's revival by the hands of Cerberus in 2185, he hires a group of excellent fighters and experts, and disappears through the Omega 4-relay. Shortly after, panic spreads as Cerberus leaks information about the true threat of the Reapers. The Citadel Council is forced to acknowledge the Reaper's existence.

Cerberus and other prohuman groups become more powerful due to the growing fear of the Reapers. The Systems Alliance begins to actively fight against Cerberus in order to secure their position of power. Back at Earth the Terra Firms political party begins to gain a hold on power.

The Citadel Council orders all member nations and associate members to begin increasing their respective militaries in response to the Reaper threat.

Years later, in 2199, our roleplay continues. The most powerful organizations in the Terminus Systems found the Confederacy of Rogue Systems, and seek war with the Citadel Races. The newly elected Council struggles to stop this disaster from happening, while only a few groups, especially the intraspecies group SPEAR, actively oppose this Confederacy.

If the character's name was Spades Neil, I'd be shocked.

Ace of Spades isn't that uncommon of a name.
I mean, Ace was mistaken for Spades at the meeting.
