The 53rd Imperial Fleet consists of one Doomgiver-class Carrier(IFC Hellfire), two Crusader-class Corvettes(IFCV Longeye and Ferrand, as well as two Warden-class light cruisers. The 53rd Imperial Fleet's mission, as per orders of Admiral Geoff Helfen, is to set up a forward base on the planet while simultaneously maintaining an orbital path with the Hellfire. If any Alliance personnel are to be found, the infantry element is to remain neutral with them unless fired upon.

IFC Hellfire
Due to lack of trained personnel before launch, the majority of the Hellfire is operated by droids with a skeleton crew of 2,000 maintaining the droids and holding key positions, such as piloting one of the Hellfire's TIE fighters. Another 2,000 are standing by on board for deployment if necessary. The Hellfire is commanded by Admiral Geoff Helfen
Class Information
The Doomgiver is the size of a large Star Destroyer, with a number of vertical stories eclipsing that of the contemporary Imperial-class. It was driven by six engines, arranged in clusters of three, similar to the Executor-class Star Dreadnought.
Its ventral surface consist of a number of detachable All Terrain Rapid Deployment Pods and it had at least two command centers. The Doomgiver also had a detention center with holding cells. The ship's hangars hold a TIE defense force and personnel shuttles.

Ship Detail
All Terrain Rapid Deployment Pods(ATRDP): 24/50
TIE escort force: 20/20
Personnel shuttles: 4/5 (One on planet)

Longeye and Ferrand
Both of these Crusader class corvettes are fully gunned, but lack the mobility they are known for due to only having core pilots and no logistical personnel. Both ships are operating purely as escorts due to their ability to target incoming torpedoes and other missiles, leaving the Warden class light cruisers to operate as scanners if the 53rd decides to set up a blockade.

Infantry Element
Consisting of a battalion of men, one company remains on the ship while the other maintains surface-side relations. The latter company, Bravo Company, is commanded by its Captain either on the Hellfire or on the surface only within the Command and Control Center(unless ordered otherwise by the Admiral or the battalion commander). Bravo Company and Alpha Company will most likely cycle through the surface-side, ship-side deployment.

Relations
The 53rd is attempting to remain neutral whilst getting a foothold in the planet. Ground elements are maintaining a strict shoot-only-when-shot-at.

Wait? This thing is classified as a Superdestroyer?

Is that serious business? Those things would usually house somewhere above a thousand troops.

You're comparing it to an Executor and those things were 100 times bigger than Imperial-II class destroyers.
That said, they required like 200,000 units to man them and held somewhere around 20,000 fighters.

Anyway.

Suggesting you have a ship bigger than an Imperial-II does not sync up with the figures you're giving for troop and fighter amounts.
That monster has EIGHT heavy turbolaser batteries.
EIGHT.
And you're suggesting it's even FASTER than a Imp Deuce at sublight speeds.

As far as a ship goes, a lot of the expanded universe says an Imp Deuce can hold 10,000 troopers and requires like 6,000 to man it.
Those beasts held AT-AT barges, AT-ST droppers and THOUSANDS of Ties.

Can we seriously consider making this a MUCH smaller ship?

:(

I mean, a Imperator-class Star Destroy would be totally acceptable seeing as you have a compliment of corvettes and their crews.

The corvettes are fine. They can't do much bombardment, all said but should prove space-battle capable.

None of what he wrote is valid.

What about a Gladiator-Class Star Destroyer? Its is only 500 meters long, but the map setup sounded like an outer-rim planet. However it is well armed and can hold a reasonable number of crew and troops.

it seems like a good ship, but its design is slightly different from the average Star Destroyer.

Still not fixed because you fail to read the orginal information thread. Such as who currently leads the expedition.

why not just keep the dreadnaught and stop trying to make a huge force?
It should stay a expeditionary force and have minimal forces because its exploring not a warfleet and there was only one doomgiver class ship made
