Dear SRP players, your ideas, and opinions on already existing parts of SRP, do matter.
If you have an idea/opinion/something that needs fixing, that could benefit SRP please do post here.
In order for your idea to be overlooked it must have good grammar.
Do not be afraid to put your idea trough. All of them will be overlooked, as long as they make sense.
That is all.
Probably the most known problem: Pistol accuracy and rifle spread. Believe it or not, bullets actually go straight in controlled bursts. Our current system doesn't even accurately emulate bullet spread. I've had pistols shoot completely 180, infact once after a bloodsucker RP, i went to kill the bloodsucker ( he asked for me to kill, just like using the claw swep ) All of the bullets actually went around his head at point blank. Another thing is that it is impossible to STM when you dont know where your bullets will go.
This is more of a bug to me. However, it would be a good idea to fix it. I buy a better weapons for better accuracy not better inaccuracy.
Maybe less rarity of Artifacts? Such as they have a much lower ratio, such as Jellyfish should be much more of a commodity and Goldfishes and such be much more rare
I have had this idea ever since i joined SRP and i think it is pretty good so hear me out here..ok so this can make the detectors actually usefull in a remote sence and yes i do know the flaws of this. Okay here is the scenario A stalker goes into an anomaly and takes out an echo detector. He turns it on lifing the top turning the screen on. He listens for beeping when suddenly after walking in the anomaly for a bit the detector starts to beep (curtosy of an admin) And as he nears the area of the artifact the beeping gets faster and faster. Once he is at the artifact the admin does a /it probobly saying " Suddely a jellyfish artifact appears". the stalker grabs it and goes to the ecologists and sells it to invest in whatever. i think this could drasticly lower the rareity of artifacts. and no i dont mean artifacta palooza just every now and agin when a stalker decides to take a risk of going into an anomaly witha detector.

If they make any of the artifacts any different with rarity then the prices will go down. Ecologists would get more, they would pay less, and stalkers earn shit from them. Keep the artifacts the way it is, I found a Sparkler not to long ago. More rare = more profit, so you can either complain that there is none or complain you're not making any money off of it.
finish the suit system please, add the radiation resistence and the anomalous resistences to them and fix the weapon's accuracy
Yesterday, I found a Famas in a cargo shipment. The problem is that I can't use it when I click Equip. There is no SWEP base for it, so it is completely useless. It would be nice if those weapons could be fixed.
Fix the stalker model that is invisible to some people. Also, is the TOZ view model only invisible for me or?
Change the map so I can play! :c
no dont change the map ! =p
Actually, maybe you should. This map is just like Sector_42. Currently loads of Freedomers (and I'm sure more, this is just the people I know of) can't join, the map constantly crashes, and I'm getting the same problem I got on S42, everything turns invisible.
It's unbearable.
I am playing the devils advocate here just an FYI if you don't feel like reading me shoot down ideas

First of all that would be more event specific because Admins ARE NOT going to be flying around constantly hovering over where they placed an artifact just to do some shitty /it's so that someone can grab an artifact, Not going to lie its not very appealing, and it would require admins who also want to RP and have fun to sit around idle bored. So not likely going to happen.

Simply no, Radek and i tested out CSS weps a while back WAY to over powered you all remember the AK-47 the rifle that was cheap and would literally dominate everyone and everything it touched, Same thing with the Famas and the TMP and all the other weapons.
For all of you having map problems:
srp_occult_v1 content: gmod/gmod (everything in the folder)
srp_occult_v1 FOLDER: addons
Anti-Garry: gmod/gmod
Patch 1.4: addons
If you have done that all correctly, you should have no problem whatsoever, from my understanding.
We already know that. People have different problems, and I brought it up that they were the same ones people experienced on S42.
Well. Using Sector 42 gives people problems somehow. Occult gives people problems which is understandable as its new. Garbage is terrible. That leaves Redemption. Redux (kill me). or Chernobyl (random RP ruining blowouts away)
Fix Sector 42 so it wont crash people anymore
???
Profit
We would need to make Sector 43 then, we could fix it.
As for Sector 42, its not so much that it needs fixing, its that people need to upgrade their stock computers.
ok.
Nothing ever happens. It's simple. Making things happen, More people will come.
Half the time the sever is passive, Once you passive roleplay for a long time it gets boring, you loose player getwatiamsaying?

Yeah, I must agree, I gets fights mostly when bloodsucker only, it's boring when you don't fight. Ever. But this goes to the problem which is "ffs I am afraid of losing my gear n character".

Oh yeah, regarding no gear return whatsoever. To put it simply, it's dumb. You see, people should at least be given an option for gear-return, but keep enforcing the "no-GR" as default. How is it positive in any way from denying players from having gear-return when both parties want it, especially in roleplayed fights?
The 'economy' better not be the reason, because fun should take priority. And if no one had noticed, this has only screwed up the economy even more.
The Economy is fine. GR rule I don't have influence there because Nitro put it and he's an SR.
Regarding things to do, we have been working on that. With the new NPCs it's much easier to do.
Losing your gear means you weren't careful enough and puts in a FEAR RP factor of dying while OOCly it's of losing gear. In all honesty you have to be careful if you are going somewhere dangerous and might wanna make sure you got plenty of ammo. Unlike the other two persons I could mention in this post in the event during the weekend.
Concerning maps, I don't think I can change anything there. Everyone seem to have their own problem.
My bro tries to connect to server 1 and his gmod crashed and gives him a don't send error.
No idea what's causing it and the PC is decent. In order for the maps to be edited out properly I suppose Exile would need to work on it along with accuracy.
Concerning the artifact idea, yes that could be done with an admin but most of them aren't bothered to do it. Anyway it could be scripted I suppose.
Just a heads up the downloaded folder srp_occultv1 goes into addons. You don't extract anything from it.
Switching to Redemption means being boxed in and during the crowded weekends I think it would be horrible. And lets try not to bring redux into this.
The invisible stalker model is a corrupt download , so I was told.

I've actually never lost anything more than a pistol, simply because I try not to
die. This isn't me bitching about my losses. The problem is that players begin to fight each other exclusively for gear, and it starts nothing but arguments.
And the only fix for the current map is changing it. You just have to make some sacrifices.
The invisible Stalker model(s) are only invisible to me in Direct X 8 mode, so it could easily have to do with that.
There are admins who are there to calm them down.
I haven't lost anything at all, because I'm careful.
Other people tend to be reckless.

Unless it got removed the CSS AK47 and the AK47 you could buy from traders are two different guns. The one from traders was like any normal assault rifle. More powerful than the 74 but less accurate iirc. I had one on Hawk (actually I think I still have it on Hawk but I haven't been on the server for close to 10 months now so I don't know) and it wasn't a CS:S doomcannon.
The CSS one was overpowered. But that wasn't the one that was for sale. The only way to get that was to admin spawn it.

Or just more boredom since new players will have nothing to do to get money. I'd rather be able to have a really good chance at finding a couple hundred rubles (in the form of a common artifact) every 15ish minutes or so instead of playing hours and hours and hours for a
chance at maybe possibly finding a 5000 ruble artifact that I will then more than likely lose to some robwhoring dick who already has an FN2000 and an Exo but still feels the need to take stuff from players not as well equipped. Before I stopped playing STALKER in close to 2 years of playing on that server I think I found 1 artifact ever. It was a goldfish. I found it outside of Freedom's bar on Redemption last summer in June. I was so stunned I remember all this because it was so fucking amazing. And that's not how it should be. Neshy has the right idea in my opinion.
I found a couple of artifacts.
First was a gold fish. I randomly walked over it on S42. Had no idea until I hit it.
And on garbage, I found a hoof and a gold fish next to each other in a corner of the map.
As rare as they are supposed to be. I get 100 from a dog's tail and 100 for the boar's hoof. So I had to make up IC bullshit to sell them for 500 each.
As for the goldfish, it sells for 500-1000 at the Eco bunker. Which is disappointing.

What? Givegivegive. The Goldfish is possibly the rarest artifact around.
There's also the lack of variety in artifacts. Even if they don't do anything, where's my Mica? For roleplay purposes, like healing wounds or clotting blood.
Yeah, artifacts are used for IC purposes too (back when somebody had one, they were continuously using it for healing quicker for less IRP).

I've been attacked straight after spawning by suckers and lost everything, so yeah.
Was it a player or one of those asshole NPCs? You didn't state how long ago it was.
If it was recent and a player, you probably should report it.
Ah well the issue is when an event is happening near spawn they tend to wander off.
Spawn should have been put somewhere else that was a very louzy place to pick.
The trainwreck would be a goodplace, in my opinion.
I think all STALKERS should start with a flashlight because, the STALKERS in the game ALWAYS have a flashlight when it gets to be night.
1. Yes , i agree. Stalkers should start with Flashlights.
2. Modify the Guitar Swep so you can choose what music to play when you click it. ::)
...Maybe... Stalker Guitar songs...or Metro 2033.
Any songs could be awesome.
