I suggest you read about every faction mutant and stuff like that.

Well, "Cannon" is the story and rules of the universe you are roleplaying.

For example, Half Life 2 has combine, aliens and etc.

Stalker has factions, artifacts and mutants.

Fallout 3 has raiders, enclave and so on and so forth.

It is also the specifics, like what is the monolith based on and what is the monolith's way of communicating with the Zone

Thanks bro, I understand how the monolith are a bit more now But i dont know what judas wants me to do by re applying i dont think it's worth a whole new post I could just edit my story a bit more

CANON is the RP, it's not like an item or prop in the RP, but the story.

CANON is the RP, it's not like an item or prop in the RP, but the story.

i.e the canon for Star Wars is anything published by LucasArts, anything else is fanmade, i.e anythird party games that say Han Solo actually raped Liea, that'de not happen in the actual story because it was obviously made up.

It's the line between acknoweledged events and definitions and such, versus stuff made. Like, how The Empire is a canon faction, whereas The MesoMiso StarDestructors (just mad ethat up) arn't real, or acknowleded in any of the official publishings, but may fit IN the canon.

Your backstory consisted of a Character who wanted to "Join" Monolith because Monolith hates loners. That is not CANON. Monolith Murders normal stalkers on sight, and are as close to soulless as you can get. Noone /wants/ to join them ICly, and couldn't if they wanted to. Monolith have been brainfried either by a PSi-Emission, the Wishgranter, or another such effect. Noone walked up and said "I'd like to join you, Good sirs." 

As I said, Go learn a bit more about the Faction by reading the Wikis, then edit or reapply.
