It wouldn't make sense to change the map now, since we just changed it like a little more than a week ago or so. And S42 is by far the best Stalker themed map we have.

Redemption: Too blocky, kills RP and STK fights (In my opinion).

Chernobyl: Good map, but there's too few buildings and it's too open. Kills RP.

Redux: Crappy map. I have nothing else to say.

Apocalypse: It's a Fallout themed map, which has nothing to do with Stalker, in any way. Shouldn't happen, will never happen.

In my opinion, we should just stay on S42 for now and wait and see what it will do to the playerbase. If the playerbase drops, we can change. Until then, no.

Apocalypse is shit and I can run S42 on my laptop without crashing. Turn your settings down and also turn your draw distance down (ESPECIALLY THAT) from the Q --> Options menu. And it will work. Gmod isn't well optimized and having a huge draw distance is asking to have crashes.

Seriously. Turning down your graphics from High --> Medium isn't that big of a difference visually, but with performance, it helps a ton. Turning off anti-aliasing will also help you tremendously.

I was on for a few minutes before I had to get of quickly.

But I was playing on full settings just fine, during the 30ish players on server.

By full settings, I mean highest as possible.

It has issues like Redemption, with the tunnels.


And in my opinion, its not well made for SRP. The size and connections between sectors would kill RP to an extent.
