Me and Locke got an idea yesterday.
We thought about sponsoring mods for source, letting them have servers for testing and such, would give us a name in the modding community.
I see no cons about this, only pro's, only problem is to get the modders to allow sponsorship.
Here's few mods ive had in mind:
http://www.moddb.com/mods/half-life-seven-hour-war (http://www.moddb.com/mods/half-life-seven-hour-war)
http://www.moddb.com/mods/half-life-2-wars (http://www.moddb.com/mods/half-life-2-wars) (Its got an alpha, but its multiplayer is still in development)
I might add more as I find them
Please people, some opinions!
Good idea!
Excellent idea!
Free publicity for us :D
I totally agree with Pistol.
The reason that BG2 is so successful for us is because we took control of the mod when it had very little servers, and populated it. This is what we must do to new multiplayer mods if we wish to have successful sub-communities.

Sucessful as in people playing it, the two people which have donated from it ripped me off both times...
Situation Outbreak is a good one for support. New zombie mod, like five servers. Not very active.
How did they rip you off silver?
