"Your money, and your artifacts please." The man dressed in dark commanded
I responded warily, while looking at the two men beside me, yet again with weapons raised.
"O-ok." I slowly pulled my leather wallet from my dirty jacket pocket, and held it out arms reach to the, what seemed to be the lead of the two.
The lead grunted, snatching away my hard earned cash. The bandit nodded to his henchman; to my right. As he re-checked his weapon, and aimed at me.
That bandit thought he knew something I didn't. I knew I would die.
But unfortunately, I knew something he didn't.
The shot I was expecting sounded, like that of a banger, but I'd been through this in training. In a flash I ducked down, and collected the grimy Viper in my hands from the sniped henchman, as crackling was heard all over my head. The both men fell instantly. Blood flying around them, bullets going inside, even as they fell. A lot of blood went over me, in my eyes, mouth. Barrel of my Viper. I crawled to the bosses corpse, pried my wallet from his hands. And took away his magazine from the weapon he had, storing it inside my other jacket pocket. I had no time to loot the other fresh corpse before I was grabbed strongly from behind. I felt the cold plastic of zip ties around my wrists, I could glance and see people emerge from the nearby bush, I look to my right, the tree and bushes there also. Everywhere men with the same uniform, green Kevlar and gasmasks descended upon me. I was, by this time en route. Being dragged by some big fellow by my zip ties.

Four weeks earlier; Sector 42; Chernobyl; Ukraine

"Alright then. Meet Beetle" I introduced, pointing at a man wearing a dusty old tuxedo, with a dark green Kevlar vest outside his suit.
"Whose this?" Beetle responded
"John, well I say John. He wouldn't tell me his last name" I replied.
John kept quiet.
"Mark" (Who was me, at the time) "Why you gotta let all these Rookies in?" Beetle questioned, followed by a sigh.
"Whose better? We don't want some old geezer with ties to everything that's going on; it'll slow us down" I informed Beetle.
Beetle nodded slowly, turned and walked slowly to a Chair behind him. And lowered himself down.
"C'mere John. Lets get this done." I commanded, beckoning him to follow me through a week metal door with a red X imprinted on it.
We walked into the room, there was a counter. A rather fat, plump man behind that counter, a fuck load of guns, and a big crate of what you would think is ammo. I pointed at the chair in front of the desk, John sat down there.
"So this is the kid?" The plump man growled.
I nodded, then said "John, meet Dimitri. But, that's the Boss to yo-"
Dimitri interrupted me.
"Bloody-well right it is."
The room goes silent.
John speaks quietly.
"So, I need to take what; where?"
Dimitri replies
"Look, take this box down to the eco lab. Don't look inside the box, don't loose the box, and don't break the box."
Dimitri pulls a small metal box the size of a Rubik's cube from under the counter.
John picks it up, clearly surprised of its light weight.
"Ok. I got it."
Dimitri snarls "Got a shooter?"
"I have."
"Got the bullets?"
"I have."
I stand up slowly, dragging John up with me. I quickly lead him out the metal door, waving briefly to Dimitri. I hear Dimitri mumble
"Yeah that's right, fuck off."
As we walk back into the lobby, Beetle smirks.
"That's him on a good day."
I laugh, John nods slowly. Clearly worried.
"So, you know what to do?" I ask.
"Yeah." John says, as he pushes weakly out the ruined double doors to the world.
I laugh lightly, Beetle joins me, we both walk into the office once more to Dimitri. Dimitri seems concerned.
"Why did you choose that kid?"
"Simple. Who will expect a young rookie to be carrying over a lifetime's money in a small box. As long as he keeps clear of the bandits, he's A-OK."
"He better not fuck up."
Beetle joins in the chat
"Chill bro. Chill. We've got our best informat on him."
I look at Beetle, Beetle looks back
"Who?" I ask
"Tommy."
"Fuck. You expect him to do anything?"
"Don't worry mate, he's legit."
"He fucking better be."
