Ecologists are the Zone's eggheads. Scientific minds of the Ukraine and rest of the world, those hired by the Kiev Zone Research Institute(KZRI) and government to study and unlock the secrets of the Zone. Tasked with entering the Zone, studying the mutations and anomalous activities that have appeared in the recent years. They are also tasked with supplying vital information back to the Institute for the application of the discoveries made inside. The men and women of these scientific teams are the front line in harnessing the powers of the Zone and advancing mankind as a whole. hey almost always carry low-grade weapons, however they house some of the most interesting roleplay capabilities. Ecologists have been sent by the Kiev Zone Research Institute to discover the Zone's wonders and mysterious secrets and will pay handsomely for mutant body parts and artifacts, some Ecologists have been known to sell some weapons and other items too.

Rules - [Level 1+]



In Character Ecologist Rules

- Scientific teams shouldn't leave the secure area around the bunker without a proper escort (x1 merc at least)
- Lab teams work with dissection, analysis and application of discoveries, but will often be asked to exit and assist Field Research teams.
- Field teams work with observing anomalous actives and mutants in the natural environment while bringing samples back for the Lab teams, roleplay accordingly.
- You can hold LIVE specimens, however you MUST have at least a 4 man security detail up to military standards PER live sample and they MUST be held in the containment area.
- Your scientists first, your not a stellar shot, your not going to be able to super-suppress your injuries. Roleplay accordingly
- Ecologist CAN NOT use their paychecks to buy equipment from traders, any ecologist found with any equipment that has NOT be bought from the Kiev Warehouse may be subject to removal from the zone.

Out of Character Ecologist Rules

- Work with Mutants and Monolith OOCly to create missions and roleplay experiences
- Work with Military, they are REQUIRED to respond to your distress calls. If military fails to respond place a 'Incident Report' on the ecologist board, if you survive the encounter.
- You are a scientist brought in from outside of the Zone. You have little to no knowledge of actions inside of the Zone except for reports from Ecologists, Military and rumours.
- Remember that the rules will change to address new issues and to check on them from time to time or when told to.

The Ranking System - [Level 1+]


The ecologist will have a new ranking system that consists of levels or grades, that doesn't mean the higher Level you are the more people you can boss about, the level is irrelevant to the pecking order but they will be used later when i FULLY decide on what i am willing to do with them. At the moment it is just Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. The perks of being a higher level is that you will be able to request more supplies, more funding from the KZRI Administrator, higher levels will get harder work which will require more of a write up. You may request that your level be increased by asking the KZRI Administrator.

All Ecologist, no matter what level have the following equipment; 1 Eco Suit, 1 Medkit, 1 Walther P99, 3 Boxes of ammo, 1 Flashlight and 1 Radio.

Ecologist Monthly Pay Cheque - [Level 1+]
This is the pay you will receive each month, refer to the Kiev Warehouse thread for information on what you can buy with this money. Any new applicant will get half of this amount for the first month, unless it is Pay-day.
If you run out of money you may request a Crisis loan from your team Administrator which will be paid out of your next pay cheque. Your pay cheques can be lowered if your work is not up to scratch, or inactive.

Level 1 - 10,000 UAH
Level 2 - 15,000 UAH
Level 3 - 23,000 UAH
Level 4 - 33,000 UAH
Level 5 - 40,000 UAH
Level 6 - 47,000 UAH
Level 7 - 60,000 UAH

Bandits: Unfriendly/Feared

Duty: Allied

Ecologists: N/A

Freedom: Neutral

Loners: Neutral

Mercenary: Unfriendly

Military: Allied

Monolith: Feared



N/A - Not Applicable, who knows what they are?
Allied - Allied, If you're in trouble call these people to help. Treat them like you would treat your mother.
Friendly - Friendly, these people are friends, respect them accordingly, they may even help you if you're in trouble.
Neutral - Neutral, take an odd glance at these, but nothing over the top.
Unfriendly - Keep a close eye on these people, have your weapon close.
Feared - Hostile and feared, always try to run away or stay clear of these.
