Idea of Events

I've been thinking of this idea for awhile.

Basically I would call it an 'Event Admin'.

It's a admin that can only create and control events, use event chat, kick players, and spawn anomalies.

I was thinking that if something like this was created, people that are well know and are trust worthy could be assigned this position.

First, they could be called |HGN-STEA|"Name"
That way people know they are only Event Admins

Second, they have the ability to kick players, but only players that crashed or are messing up events. Overall just to remove annoying players.

Third, they have Tool Trust which can be used to create events. Along with the tool trust they can spawn anomalies to add to the event.

Fourth, (Optional Choice)they can have noclip, but it isn't required for average events.

Fifth, they can use the event channel to announce things.

This would be like a low ranked admin on the server, lower than Trial Admins and above average Tool Trusted players. All they are required to do is make events for players if asked. Kick any bad or crashing players. And add another kind of income to loners.

Since the Event Admins can't assign flags, hand out TT, or ban players. People would only ask them to help with setting up events when admins aren't on or are busy with something else.

Like usual, it's just an idea. So any comments or criticisms are welcomed.

You say its lower than a TA cept it has  traits of an SA.
Its not really lower if it can do more than an TA.

SA's can do all of the following, if an admin feels like making an event, they will make an event.
Events take time and resources, admins cant do them all the time, and this EA wouldnt be able to either, and thats what people would expect.

If events where needed everyday, then that would be fine, but theyre not, it kinda ruins the joy of an event if you have one everyday.
Im currently doing an ongoing event, its not as if admins dont do them.

Well I'm not exactly sure what the level of admins can do, so I took a guess at it.

What do you mean it takes time and resources? I understand it can take like 30 minutes to set up a base or house. What do you mean about resources though?

Resources, as in loot etc.
Loot hasnt got to be there half the time, but rewarding players for getting through all sorts of hell kinda motivates people.
Put it this way... If your a loner, you want things that are worth something, your not going to go to the depths of a spooky lab for no reason, youd be heading there in hope of something worth money.
You wouldnt want to risk your life for nothing. The event wouldnt be that appealing.
That sort of thing comes out of the admins pocket.
Also, as in resources, you need antagonists for events, such as mutant attacks, you need people that will play those parts.

I can see what your saying however, it can be very frustrating when no events happen for awhile, but im personally planning on organising a few, so just keep a look out.

Oh well, just a quick idea. I guess we can let it slide to the depths of thread hell than.

Well think of it this way, you have highlighted an issue: IF your mentioning this, there must not be alot of events going on currently.
But dont worry, i have something unfolding currently :P

Well for a good time I have been on I've noticed little movement on the server. Every now and then something occurs. And recently I have been creating blood sucker attacks on small groups, just to spice things up.

I would go controller on people but the damn blue effect is too strong.

Well I do do events once in awhile and missions but something that kind of makes me sad is people dont always show up to the mission. Then people complain there is not enough jobs and stuff sometimes but this was while back. But I know what you mean, admins should be spiceing things up a bit more.
