Game Crash everytime i enter server

Not much else to say other than everytime i enter the server it gets stuck at " Recieving data from server " for a while then continues laggily through the rest of the joining process then right when its supposed to enter the server it crashes, every time, i've tried taking out the S.T.A.L.K.E.R pack content and such but to no avail..

Suggestions?

I am having the same problem. I deleted my cache and got past the receiving server info then to the section where it says downloading cache. But right after it downloads Gmod crashes. Im sorry i couldn't help. But know you know your not the only person with this problem. By the way are you on a mac?

Operation system shouldn't be related to the problem.
Try lowering settings, remove everything except the SRP Content.

I did that and still nothing. It seems that if i have the cache somewhere in my gmod folder it will keep crashing.

Sounds like something is blocking gmods access to cache folder... If your on vista/7 disable that security thingy
also try disabling firewall.

I turned off my firewall and still it crashes. By the way im on a mac.

Ive already tried turning all my settings to low.

Had the same problem, I fixed it by installing more games capable with Gmod since I assume I needed the extra extensions.

Unlikely this will apply to your situation, shoot it anyway.
