Chernobyl is a Nuclear Power Plant, the nearby town was Pypiat, and if it was from Pypiat, he's one old mother fucker.

Also Torch, in the stalker universe after the initial disaster they had apparantly attempted to rebuild and repopulate the area around chernobyl before the fictional second explosion took place (which differs from our own universe). This is supposedly set in that time where Chernobyl WAS its own town. Taddaaa!!!
