Dusty's and Adam's guide to mutants of the Garbage.
Legend
Blue are written by yours truly, Dusty.
Orange is written by Adam Murray.
For sake of danger, we will be using a 'One' to 'Ten' system, One being no danger, and Ten being incredible danger.

--Blind Dog—

Most likely one of the first mutated creatures you will face in the Garbage, or anywhere in the Zone for that matter, they're commonly referred to as 'annoyances' and 'nuisances' more so than actual threats. As the name hint's they are unable to see, relying on their sense of smell and hearing to acquire their prey. They are generally easy to kill and should pose little to no threat towards a Stalker who has a low-tier weapon, such as a T.O.Z 34, a Ak-74u, or a Viper 5. But can pose major threats to unarmed stalkers, and should be avoided.
Danger level – Three (3) for a common blind dog pack.
Alternate Danger level – Four or Five (4 / 5) for larger dogs, some which have been reported five feet long, such as the dog used in The Arena of the garbage, and should not combat unless needed without four or more well-armed Stalkers.
Recommended Weaponry: Any assault rifle or shotgun, sniper rifles or scoped semi-automatic weapons of any kind should be avoided in close-quarters.
Method's of Attack : The blind dog's only true, major injury-causing method is they're razor-sharp teeth, and should avoid allowing them to sink them into you, which also generally carry infection.

--Zombie--

Zombies are stalkers who have been popularly known to of had they're brain scrambled by the 'Psi Field', and have no memories or any form of intelligence, relying on their basic animalistic instincts. Zombies are generally reported and seen staggering around, and often carry weapons such as pistols and rifles, firing them inaccurately from the hip. Though they are generally inaccurate and seen as a small threat in the zone by many rookies, Zombies should not be messed with unless needed or experienced in doing so, as in large numbers can be deadly, and much of the time these zombies can be seen wearing torn-away suits, which could possibly keep a low-velocity or a low caliber round from piercing.
Danger level : Five (3), should be avoided by all stalkers unless it is needed to combat one.
Alternate Danger level : Five to Six (5 / 6) if encountered in groups, as these groups can be deadly, sending hails of bullets at you, even if inaccurate, four rifles unloading automatic weaponry onto you will not be good.
Recommended Weaponry : Anything will do against zombies, but generally assault rifles  are a good choice, making it possible to shoot them at a medium range and having to avoid the increase in the their accuracy due to the distance away from you, scoped rifles are also a good choice for long range.

-Snork-

OOC- Fast Zombie
Snorks are a common Human mutation, you'll see these around, these guys mutate and begin to walk on all fours, their Gasmask meld into their face, changing them to have a sort of sense of smell. You should be a bit worried if you don't have the right supplies or knowledge about them, I'm here to increase your knowledge. Snorks will most likely be in a pack of Zombies, after you think you're threw with the 'nuisances' you'll see these fast fucks chasing you.  You need to watch out for these guys because once they get close enough, they can do a good amount of damage. You need to prepare for these guys by getting the correct weapons, such as; TOZ, Chaser, Groza, LR300, AK-74M or U. You don't need to have awesome weapons to take them down, but you need to be careful so they don't get too close. Don't use a sniper or melee weapon, that's just stupid.
Danger Level : Four (4)
Alternative Danger level : Six (6) If they are in groups.
Method's of Attack- They do a lot of primal attacks, such as swiping and biting, sometimes they kick to. Watch out for there attacks because they do some combo hits as fast as they can so they know they fucked you up.
Recommended Weaponry: Preferably shotguns if one is in your possession, but a assault rifle or sub machine gun will generally take these beasts down if you are able to hit them.[/center]

--Bloodsucker—

A semi-legendary creature in the zone in which few to tell the tale. This creature is of unknown origins, though looking humanoid in stature and height. These creatures are extremely agile, acrobatic, and strong, giving then a large advantage over any Stalker, even the most experienced. Another deadly trait to these creatures is their ability to 'cloak', making the transparency of the sucker almost invisible. On top of this, there are variants in blood suckers, ranging from 'forest' suckers to others such as a 'marsh' sucker. In my experience I've noticed strength and other augmented attributes in these creatures, though from a distance at the cost of a poor rookie or two's life whom I couldn't of saved if I tried, be warned any bloodsucker should be avoided.
Danger level: Seven to Nine (7 – 9) depending on the variant, though be warned, it is almost certain death if you face these creatures alone, and depending on the variant, can still be certain death with even up to four people.
Method's of Attack: Sucker's generally swipe at you with razor sharp claws, or jab them into you, some smart enough to even cloak after attacking, waiting for a optimal time to attack again until they're target is dead.
Recommended Weaponry: Preferably shotguns and assault rifles, as it is extremely rare you will have a chance to attack a sucker at long range with a scoped rifle of any sort.

-Psuedogiant-

OOC- Antilon Guards
Pseudogiants are one of the more rare mutants that you will see in the Garbage or anywhere in the Zone, it's unknown why or how this mutant began, but supposedly it's a mutation of a Human.
Most people only have time to yell 'Giant' before they have to run away from it, or hid inside a house. I like to call them the Controller's retarded brother. These guys should be avoided by any STALKERs with low tier weapons, leave these guys to the more professional men.

Danger Level - Seven (7) for one Pseudogiant attack
Method's of Attack- Pseudogiants will charge you as fast as they can, landing massive damage on a STALKERs body, sometimes if they feel challenged they will stomp the ground making psi fly around a small circumference that will injure a STALKER on contact. You should avoid close quarter combat with this Mutant.
Recommended Weaponry : You usually want to stick with Assault rifles or anything that can peel out damage as fast as possible, such as a Groza, G36, AN, or if you have to have something like a scoped rifle , a VSS.

-Controller-

Controllers are apparently human experiments of some sort, and are generally extremely intelligent. DO NOT ENGAGE these creatures unless FORCED too, they have a form of long range attack that can scramble your mind, easily killing or controlling you if you get too close, I myself have only seen one, and seen what happens when stalkers attempt to attack these creatures, they have also been reported to make you hallucinate, such as thinking you're surrounded by friends, but really your surrounded by zombies, or thinking you're walking along a pathway when it's really a cliff.
Danger level – Ten (10). These creatures are not to me messed with unless absolutely necessary, even then if it is possible to run, I would highly recommend doing so.
Method's of Attack : Stated simply above, it has been reported they have a powerful form of melee attack, though I have never experienced this for myself, nor do I wish to be close enough to see or feel it.
Recommended Weaponry: If you MUST engage this creature, any weapon will do, but it seems none have much effect on this creature, as if you had to engage one, you would most likely not return.

ThY

Will need to check through some of this with ya, if your taking it seriously.
But good effort! +1!

I think it's supposed to be an in-character guide, as in from their own experiences and such.
[OOC] Aleksandr Makarov: When do you actually need Cullinary?
[OOC] Commissar Ruslan Turchin: Vat... are you trying to say cooking skill?
[OOC] Aleksandr Makarov: Yeah.
[OOC] Commissar Ruslan Turchin: It's for the women, of course. Which is why we don't see that skill much.

jaik

they wouldn't know about bloodsucker types.
Blake.H: And im also working on whipping him into shape
Blake.H: He's nice
Blake.H: He doesn't moan
Blake.H: The sheer obedience is enough to fuel my erection anyway

Thanatos

Most of the stuff we were trying to do was IC knowledge. But we can go over it a remake the parts that seem OOC, like the class types.

Meanwhile outside of Leshiy's door.

TOZ doesn't need to have dots between the letters, and it's AKS-74u (Awtomat Kalashnikova Skladnoy (folded) 74 ukorochenniy (shortened))

Didn't realize that when I was writing last night, I switched it to make it more of a stalker-oriented ranking, just noticing the difference is some suckers from a distance, which I have noticed in character with this specific character, thanks for pointing it out mate.

Once again it's a in-game guide as stated above, it's written as if a stalker would of written it, not formally as if a ecologist would of written it, and yes I know it's AKS but I did specifically just leave the known 'common' nickname for these weapons.

It's "common" nickname is AKSu.

It's 'common' nickname is generally the '74u', as what I have heard it called by most stalkers, just because that's the common name for you to call it doesnt mean it's the general publics, no offense.

That should be in a official guide, I never see fear RP from controllers. Just a swarm of Rookies with makarovs and AKS-74u charging a controlling, then running away because they dont want to lose gear. Im not talking about fear RP as in /me, it is a STK, but fear RP by trying not to anger the controller by pelting it with petty Makarov 9x18.
