RELATIONS

Birds of Prey will remain neutral to everyone and anyone that shows passiveness towards them, which should speak for itself in terms of relations (Obviously, Monolith and more than likely Military are expected to be hostile, as they're essentially hostile towards everyone, whereas other Bandit groups would (hopefully) have a neutral or positive attitude towards BoP, we return that with neutrality as well. In other words, if you do not interact with BoP, they will more than likely not interact with you, if you do however: they will return hostility with hostility, and friendliness with friendliness. Do keep in mind, as a Bandit group, there might be some robbing going on by the Bandits in the group, although they will follow a set of rules as to who, how, and where it will be done.

RULES

OOC

- Please do not quarrel with other members, ICly or OOCly: this will only bring drama and the eventual demise of the group.

- Do not bring bias into the group, although you might have another character in Freedom because you absolutely HATE Duty's ideals, treat both of them the same on this character (this IS a neutral group).

- Just because you're in this group doesn't mean you won't get kicked out, if you turn out to be a horrible RPer, constantly break the rules of the server OR the group, or just generally act like a moron, we'll probably off you IC and that character will return to their life before entering BoP, no questions asked.

IC

- Members are to "wear a HAT", no I do not mean this in the literal sense of wearing headgear. To wear a HAT as a Bandit means to follow the code of "Honor Among Thieves", which is essentially the "Bushido" of our BoP. Though you might be a Bandit, you want to be known as an Honorable person, you do not want to bring shame upon yourself or the group. The reason I am stating this is because Bandit groups who go around dishonorably robbing people in the spawn area or "Vulturing" around and picking off weak or injured prey for their gear. A Bird of Prey is known as such because it is a bird with much strength, a bird that can use its keen senses and skill to spot, stalk, and hunt an enemy, sometimes a lot larger than itself: and that is how it survives.

- There will be no stealing from other members or Bandits, there will be no robbing of ANY person in or around the area we set up in, you must be a decent distance away to do anything of such, this is to avoid giving our surrounding area the stigma of being a spot to avoid so as to not get robbed. The exception is a Bandit who does not wear a HAT or a person who shows aggressiveness towards the group, they are subject to be treated with hostility even within our "territory".

- Try to travel and work in at least a group of 2, so as to avoid a situation where you would be captured, injured, or killed. A member of BoP who is badly injured or killed is useless, and wasting a spot that could be given to a healthy individual who is actually able to do something for the group. A member who is captured will cost the group a fair amount of money: our entire goal is to make money, don't make us waste it.

- Be smart with how you work, instead of using a 2 man group to rob a poor STALKER for minimal benefit to us, and major loss to him, use it to rob a decently armed STALKER, so that A) He actually has a decent chance to defend himself (having all your gear stolen as a new player really does suck, and it gives a bad name to Bandits in general: stop being a Vulture and actually hunt some Prey) and B) You'd make more money robbing one well armed STALKER than you would 4 or 5 new Rookies: don't waste your time. Working by yourself, it's a lot easier to use Stealth when you don't have the firepower/intimidation of a 2 man team.

- (IC/OOC) When you rob someone, don't take literally everything they have (specifically, do NOT take somebodies suit, people spend a ton of money on them and they're just going to cry and complain about how BoP took their 20,000 Ruble Sunshine Suit until somebody either Metagames the shit out of us and attacks us, or somebody higher up in power gets mad at us). Take their gun and some Rubles (if they're a new player, don't take all 500 Rubles they start out with, that's just a dick move and you're going to get the reputation of being some merciless greedy Bandit, which means people are going to be after you, and since you're with BoP, they're going to be after BoP... we don't want that). If they give you what you ask, don't kill them, there's absolutely no need.

tl;dr: Even though you're a Bandit, have some honor. BoP selects certain people to join because they're able and skilled people: any retard can rob a Rookie with a 3 man group, but it takes skill to use Stealth to your advantage to rob a STALKER that's equipped 2x better than you are.

There are more than likely going to be questions as to why rules like this were put into place. In general, it is to control the amount of LolBandits running around by themselves robbing everything that moves, and instead promoting organized groups of Bandits that aren't so set on acting like such. It's like comparing a Street Gang to an Organized Crime Syndicate. Yes, both of them are set on the same goal: to make money and earn respect. Both of them do a lot of the same things, they steal, kill, deal in illegal or taboo things, etc. How they go about doing so however, is a lot different. While a member of a Street Gang is more like to run up to you, shoot you with his handgun or stab you with a knife, and then run... a member of some sort of Organized Crime Group is more likely to put a lot more planning into it, making sure the place, time, way, and tool that they do it with are all correct in order to make everything work more efficiently and in their favor. The other reason such rules are put into place is to avoid the label of being a horrible group that everybody should be hostile towards, although some groups might be hostile to us, other groups (especially smaller player based groups) might rather want to act neutral or friendly towards us in order to take advantage of the services or products we offer that other groups or factions may not, whether that be the slave trade, buying stolen goods, or just having something worked on/repaired without having to associate yourself with one of the major factions: which sometimes might lead to conflict between you and a group that isn't on friendly terms with the group you chose to do business with. Some people might also ask "Why make changes to the group?", well as much as I did love roleplaying with BoP in the past, and as great as the leadership of it was, it died out 3 times... something needs to change, or BoP is more than likely going to die out again.
