When the Infection began to destroy humanity, it was to be expected that all manner of Doomsayers would crawl out of their holes and declare the doom of humanity. Most of these were religious zealots, madmen and Stoners.

Two years on, many of these lunatics have become The Black Dawn. To the world, they are seen as nothing more than insane, religious cultists. They stalk the streets and country killing and capturing all those who do not follow their fucked up cult.

The Black Dawn believed the Infection to be God's purifying of mankind and that only the pure would survive his reckoning. Only by sacraficing the 'unholy' do they believe they can achieve salvation.
